Upstairs, the main living room is the heart of the home, offering plush seating, a stunning stone fireplace, and expansive windows with calming forest views. It’s the perfect place to curl up with a blanket, share stories, and listen to the river flow by or rain tap against skylights. It's connected to the dining area and kitchen with an open floor plan. Sliding glass doors lead to the back porch with a BBQ and outdoor seating overlooking the river.

The spacious master bedroom includes a private seating area, TV, and an ensuite bathroom with dual vanities and elegant granite countertops. The second bedroom features a queen bed with a twin bunk above, and a chair and beanbag for storytime. Conveniently located across from the second bathroom, which includes a bathtub and a skylight that fills the room with soft daylight.

The light-drenched kitchen offers granite countertops and everything you need for real cooking. Whether you prefer Keurig coffee or a regular drip coffee maker, both are provided—along with fresh cream and a selection of teas for your morning ritual. The kitchen is fully stocked with:

- Quality cookware and bakeware
- Plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, and serving ware
- Sharp knives and cooking utensils
- Cooking oils, vinegar, and a spice selection

Downstairs, a third bedroom and third bathroom are paired with a cozy, den-style second living room—perfect for movies, games, or relaxed evenings in. This versatile space includes:

- A new Roku TV with Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, and Peacock
- A large, comfortable couch that pulls out into a full-sized bed
- A plush beanbag chair for lounging
- A dedicated desk workspace, complete with leather chair, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
- Fast WiFi for remote work or streaming

- A laundry room with Samsung washer and dryer

Bathrooms are stocked with premium soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and lotions so you can settle in with ease. The home features efficient heating and cooling, ensuring comfort year-round, whether you're visiting during snowy winter weekends or warm summer trail-days.

Wy’East Waters welcomes dogs and includes thoughtful amenities for four-legged guests:elevated food bowls, a bed, and waste bags. We use the $50 pet fee to ensure extra deep cleaning after each dog stay.

For families, we also provide a crib, kids' books and games, making travel with little ones more convenient.

What a fantastic place! Very comfortably furnished, clean and well-stocked kitchen and the hot tub surrounded by trees was so relaxing. It’s especially nice to have two places to hang out (upstairs living room and downstairs tv room). Lindsey was quick to respond to messages too. This is definitely a place we’ll come back to!

We had a lovely weekend at the cabin! It was very well stocked kitchen with a electric tea kettle, board games for the kids, flip flops to wear to the hot tub. The hosts were accommodating and responsive to questions. It would be good for future guests to download or write down the instructions for getting into the home, as given the location our cell service was limited and we could not pull up the vrbo app on our phone. Lesson learned... we drove back into town, but next time will write down the door code and the host phone number.

Our stay here was wonderful! Absolutely outstanding. There were several thoughtful touches that it made it feel as though we were staying at a home with people who were friends who genuinely cared about our well-being. The pots and pans were well cared-for and the kitchen was very well-stocked. Details were clearly considered, down to the details of having towels and flip flops available near the door to the hot tub. The couches were incredibly comfortable, and we loved that each room had its own bathroom. All beds were very comfortable, and the instructions for the home were very clear and well-written. Great communication with the owners as-needed, and very helpful for small details. Wi-fi was great, as we had a few people who needed to complete class assignments and wrap up work details during the trip. We took small walks through the neighborhood, which felt safe and was full of homes that were well-cared for. You can see and hear the river from the dining room, which was one of our favorite features. Quite possibly my new favorite place to stay in the area!

Stayed for a winter weekend with friends and had a great time. Plenty of room for a crew - we loved hanging by the fireplace. Kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfy, nice big table for group meals. Keeping this one on my shortlist for future cabin weekends!

About the host

Hosted by Lindsey Spadoni

Host profile image
Hi! I’m Lindsey — a high school English teacher and longtime short-term rental host (about 8 years and counting) native to the Pacific NW. When I’m not teaching or working on our rentals, you’ll probably find me gardening, cooking something a little fancy, hiking in the mountains, snowboarding, paddleboarding, or swimming in rivers, lakes, and oceans whenever I get the chance. I also love traveling, dancing, making art, reading books, drinking tea, stargazing, and taking the occasional well-earned nap. At home I spend lots of time with my husband and our two adorable pups.

Hosting is something I truly love. I enjoy creating spaces that are beautiful, thoughtful, and comfortable—places where people can slow down, relax, connect with nature, and spend meaningful time together. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing that guests had a memorable stay and fell in love with this forest wonderland the way I have.

Mount Hood is a magical place, and I hope everyone who visits gets to experience a little bit of that magic while they’re here!

Why they chose this property

We chose Timberline Rim because it feels like a little hidden forest community along the Sandy River. The neighborhood is full of unique homes tucked into the trees, and it’s incredibly peaceful and lush year-round. One of my favorite things is simply walking down the quiet roads and hearing the river rushing nearby.

There’s a real sense here that people care about the land and about each other. Neighbors look out for the forest, the river, and the wildlife that share this space with us.

Best of all, the Sandy River is just a short walk away. Being able to stroll down to the river, sit on the beach, and listen to the water flowing past the mountain is one of the things that makes this place feel truly special.

What makes this property unique

What makes our place special is the way it blends a cozy mountain cabin feel with bright, modern comfort. The home has two separate living spaces, which makes it perfect for groups or families who want room to spread out.

One of the most magical parts of the house is that you can hear the Sandy River from the windows, and you can watch it flow from the dining room and back porch. It’s incredibly peaceful.

The kitchen is also a highlight—we love to cook, so it’s stocked with high-quality tools and everything you need to prepare a great meal on beautiful granite countertops.

And of course, after a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring Mount Hood, guests love soaking in the huge hot tub under the trees.
