About the host
Hosted by Lindsey Spadoni
Hi! I’m Lindsey — a high school English teacher and longtime short-term rental host (about 8 years and counting) native to the Pacific NW. When I’m not teaching or working on our rentals, you’ll probably find me gardening, cooking something a little fancy, hiking in the mountains, snowboarding, paddleboarding, or swimming in rivers, lakes, and oceans whenever I get the chance. I also love traveling, dancing, making art, reading books, drinking tea, stargazing, and taking the occasional well-earned nap. At home I spend lots of time with my husband and our two adorable pups.
Hosting is something I truly love. I enjoy creating spaces that are beautiful, thoughtful, and comfortable—places where people can slow down, relax, connect with nature, and spend meaningful time together. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing that guests had a memorable stay and fell in love with this forest wonderland the way I have.
Mount Hood is a magical place, and I hope everyone who visits gets to experience a little bit of that magic while they’re here!
Why they chose this property
We chose Timberline Rim because it feels like a little hidden forest community along the Sandy River. The neighborhood is full of unique homes tucked into the trees, and it’s incredibly peaceful and lush year-round. One of my favorite things is simply walking down the quiet roads and hearing the river rushing nearby.
There’s a real sense here that people care about the land and about each other. Neighbors look out for the forest, the river, and the wildlife that share this space with us.
Best of all, the Sandy River is just a short walk away. Being able to stroll down to the river, sit on the beach, and listen to the water flowing past the mountain is one of the things that makes this place feel truly special.
What makes this property unique
What makes our place special is the way it blends a cozy mountain cabin feel with bright, modern comfort. The home has two separate living spaces, which makes it perfect for groups or families who want room to spread out.
One of the most magical parts of the house is that you can hear the Sandy River from the windows, and you can watch it flow from the dining room and back porch. It’s incredibly peaceful.
The kitchen is also a highlight—we love to cook, so it’s stocked with high-quality tools and everything you need to prepare a great meal on beautiful granite countertops.
And of course, after a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring Mount Hood, guests love soaking in the huge hot tub under the trees.
