When cooler coastal temperatures hit, fire up the authentic wood stove (Presto logs only), sink into one of the three recliners, and let yourself be mesmerized by the crashing waves as a storm rolls in.



Queue up a movie in the DVD player or on cable to watch TV in the living room while the smell of popped corn fills the room. You'll find plenty of comfy seating here, including a sofa bed. For those who need to keep their pulse on the outside world, free WiFi will keep you connected.



The well-stocked kitchen (no dishwasher) is ready to cook your culinary creations and the fresh seafood you caught that day. Plenty of counter space makes food prep easy, and all the necessary utensils, dinnerware, and cookware will be provided for you. This is a great little beach house with a fantastic view of Roads End and its beach! Perfect for a relaxing long weekend with the hubs and our dog. For those with pups a quick note that the back yard isn’t fenced if that’s on the wishlist, but you can walk down the hill to a beach entrance on the next street over.

The View is Worth it!

I do not often travel, much less stay at a vacation rental (it's by far cheaper to stay with family or friends). And the price of any rentals these days are beyond most people's budget. As much as we might have wanted a hot tub, pool, or sauna, or the guarantee of standard/up-to-date furniture/beds, etc ... you have to know what will ultimately make your vacation stay, and for us - this time of year - wet/cold weather - and for the event we wanted to attend, the most important point was knowing where we were. Seeing the familiar landmarks, even if it was too wet or cold to go outside is very gratifying. Being close to Roads End State Recreation Site, and a quick drive to downtown, stores, fast food, restaurants, or Devils Lake - it was a great way to feel removed, but also on top of the world. We saw deer, lots of bunny poop, and our dog enjoyed being on holiday as well 😀 😄 It was a safe, warm, dry haven for us during a winter storm. No dishwasher... no obvious place for drying dishes (no rack we could find...) The screen/glass(?) door stopping mechanism we couldn't get to work on either front or porch door. When making frequent trips in and out (packing, etc) we had to use something to prop the door open... Only wish we had more time. . . (And money 😅) Plenty of towels. There was a hair dryer & curling iron. There were scissors! And lighters for the wood heating stove. There's pepper (and a bunch of other random cooking spices, etc), and more pots than most wo
