The location of this house to the beach access was amazing! That was the highlight of the trip. My 8 YO golden retriever was so happy to have quick beach access and he couldn't get enough of the waves and long sandy walks. Drinking our coffee out on the back deck in the cold crispy morning was also a plus! Overall great stay with plenty of room!
This is a great cabin style house right on the ocean. Loved the ocean sounds and sunsets. Also had a great bonfire on the beach. I can't wait to come back!
We enjoyed being together. Access to the beach was ideal. Lots of fun playing games and plenty of space and time for people to choose their own activities. The gas grill was horribly greasy and dirty but we cleaned it and had great grilled chicken, hamburgers and salmon.

We hope to welcome you back again soon for a truly carefree experience!
Upon arriving at the house we spent some time cleaning up spider webs and getting the spiders out of the house. I don’t think anyone had used the house in some time. The floors were also dirty. The location of the house is wonderful.

Thank you for your feedback, Bridgette. We understand that cleanliness is of utmost importance and we deeply regret that the home was not up to your expectations upon arrival. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide to our valued guests. Rest assured, we have taken your comments seriously and have addressed the matter with our cleaning crew to ensure this is an isolated incident. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.
This cozy beach house was perfect for a family get together. Just steps from the beach, an easy walk into town, and a full kitchen for family meals. Classically the puzzles had missing peaces and the beds were a bit uneven but we had a great time. Would recommend bringing your own pillows, it seemed like everyone in our party had either paper thin or incredibly bulky pillows. But we all had a great time, would stay here again
Pros: access to the beach, location. some updates.
Cons: musty smell, windows need screens, updates on doors (locks difficult to use). No TV in main living area, only in 2 bedrooms.
We loved the beach access and the massive deck with propane grill. The downstairs bedroom has two double beds that are lopsided. The upstairs ocean side bed was less desirable with lumps. Just needs replaced. The sound of the ocean lulled us all to sleep. The location is perfect walking distance to the local stores. May I suggest having dishwasher detergent and more trash bags in the kitchen as well as some basic spices. Overall we truly enjoyed staying here and will definitely book again next year in hopes for better beds.
The house is large a bit dated, but livable. It is on the beach and the beach is very nice. My only issue was that we all pay a cleaning bill to Vrbo that seem like a lot to me so I expecte that house to be very nice. This house is pay for cleaning up to 5 times or more a month. And we had to spider webs in corners under the beds we not taken care of in some time. With that said I would stay again. I is my feeling if we the vacationers are paying as much as we do for cleaning their shoul not be dead bugs in the window.

Why a Cleaning Fee?
The property was decent overall but the place definitely needs some deep cleaning. The towels smelled horrible and the rooms didn’t smell like they haven’t been properly cleaned in awhile. There was dust and spiderwebs all over. I would go back if I felt it was clean. The location was nice and I loved the rustic feel. I wouldn’t rent if you have someone elderly if they want to be on the beach. Basically, I feel a refund is due for the cleaning fee for sure.

Hi, Joshua, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback.
We are disappointed to hear that we dropped the ball this time, as this is not the high standard of guest satisfaction and cleanliness that we hold ourselves to. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager to address with our housekeeping team.
We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future!
This house would be fantastic for a large group. At the last minute, our friends had to cancel and there were only 3 of us. Kitchen was fully equipped, minus ice maker in the fridge which was broken :( . When I say fully equipped, it really was easy to cook meals at home. The neighborhood was quiet (except for the sweet passing of the steam train twice a day while we were there) and the house literally was 30 ft from the beach. Location was perfect. Rockaway itself is small and not a lot to do but driving up and down the coast was not a problem - quick easy day trip or less - Manzanita for dinner, Tillamook for groceries and ice cream (of course).. As for the house, the only downside may be that it was tired looking inside. However, its a beachside cabin and it obviously had the charm of a beach cabin, like maybe it was an older house that had been upgraded and kept the older features, which I loved. Showers were hot and water pressure great, as mentioned aforementioned kitchen was stocked and they had a great washer and dryer. I found the bed we stayed in very comfortable. We certainly had our pick of rooms, there is also one downstairs room for people who find stairs troublesome). Wifi was perfect for our needs. We couldn't figure out the TV setup but no big deal, who needs TV when you are at the beach! Also they had smores sticks! I would highly recommend staying in this home especially with a bigger group.

Location can’t be beat
This house definitely needs updates and deep cleaning. We noticed some crumbs on the couch, and the dryer was completely full of towels and sheets that were still pretty damp. I had to redo the laundry to get some clean towels.
The front deck looked fairly new, but I think having a deck in the back of the house would have made more sense. The house just had a lot of wasted space, which is shame because it has so much potential. Upper deck has amazing view but had only one chair, the backyard was spacious and private but nothing to do.
The house is located close to the twin rocks with a private path to the beach. The location is absolutely perfect, but the house itself wasn’t all that great. It would have been better if it offered more entertainment (ex. Games, TV in the living room, fire pit or hot tub in the back yard…).

We hope to host you for another truly carefree and great vacation in the future!
The beds were very comfortable, the linens and bathrooms well stocked, everything was clean, tidy and homey. The fully equiped kitchen was absolutely ideal for making meals throughout our visit. But the crowning gem were the views and foliage walks down to the beach everyday we were there. Thank you so much for being a part of creating an anniversary trip to remember.
