We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the bear necessities! It was freezing but the hot tub and fireplace warmed us up. It is truly in the middle of nowhere but we loved the view of the woods which made it feel unplugged and a true getaway. Only complaint is the undrinkable well water, so recommend bringing your own bottled water. The place was clean and host was responsive to our questions.

Cool looking cabin on the inside for the price it was a lot in my opinion the hot tub was super dirty didn’t even go in it had no hot water in the shower very low water pressure other then that it was a decent little place to get away for a night and weekend. Also the deck and driveway were poorly cleared could be dangerous for an elderly couple. Might be worth doing a little more up keep on the property and amenities that are useable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and share your feedback. We truly appreciate it, as it helps us continue to improve the guest experience.
Regarding the hot tub, our property uses well water that naturally has a higher iron content. This can sometimes cause a slight iron-colored hue, even though the water is clean and safe. We want to reassure future guests that the hot tub is fully drained, cleaned, tested, and chemically balanced between every stay to ensure it meets proper standards.
We’re also sorry to hear about the snow plowing concerns. We will be following up directly with our plowing service to make sure the property is being cleared promptly and thoroughly after snowfall.
Thank you again for bringing these items to our attention. We value guest feedback and are committed to maintaining a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone.
