Light and bright, close to the elevator, this third floor condo is garden view, midway between the pool and beach. The unit is a two bedroom, two bath condo with living room, dining area, fully equipped updated kitchen, small den/office area, and balcony with awning. Both living room and dining room have vaulted ceilings. Living room includes wall unit with 55” flat panel TV and updated living room furniture. There is an in-room safe. Condo is non-smoking.
There is a king bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in guest bedroom, and a queen fold out in the living room. This unit is attractive, clean, and comfortable with easy access to the beach or pool.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at Sand Cay! The condo was extremely clean and spacious with everything we needed. Just a few steps to the beach or pool with plenty of activities available as well on the property. Parking included was a bonus as well! The staff was so kind and responsive. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Excellent stay

Great place for our family. Very clean and everything was exactly as described. Only issue was that our key was not left out for the late check in, but after calling the number provided we were put in another unit and then moved to the correct unit the next day. Staff was very apologtic and credited us a night which was a great surprise.Highly reccomend!.

Awesome Place at the Beach

This place was clean and updated. Just as the pictures show. Comfortable beds. We love the proximity of the beach and all the amenities Sand Cay has. Perfect for a relaxing weekend. This is our second stay at the Sand Cay (first at this property) and we will continue to come back for years. It is just we are looking for in a vacation spot.

Perfect getaway

The kitchen supplies were useful and we appreciated the starter pack with garbage bags, dish soap etc. We come to Longboat every other year and will be back to this specific condo.

Sand Cay is a great, quiet location on Longboat Key with all the amenities you need. The unit was very clean and the perfect size for 4 girlfriends although there is a pullout couch if we had more. The kitchen was also fully stocked with what we needed to cook. We’ll definitely look to staying again!

Sheet was scratchy and of poor quality. Mattress was uncomfortable. I woke up every morning with a sore back. I don’t have back problems ordinarily. Master bedroom bathroom sink was clogged when I arrived. I had the use the other bathroom. Loved the condo decor!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Happy overall. Scratchy sheets of poor quality. Clog in MB bathroom when I arrived so I had to use the other bathroom. II wasn’t comfortable on the mattress and woke up with a backache every morning. I rarely have back pain otherwise. Condo great otherwise. Loved the decor. Front desk person was friendly and helpful which I appreciated. Of course, loved the ocean!!!

Condo was ok

We liked the location of the condo and accessibility to the beach. We probably won’t stay there again though because the condo itself was just ok. Some concerns we had: Bathroom are dated and the sink in the master bathroom would not drain. We called the office and someone came 2 days after we arrived and he said “I put draino in it and got some stuff out”, which made us feel kind of gross because our toothbrushes and toiletries were in there. There was a very large tv in the main living area which did not work, someone had plugged in a small tv in front of it, so we had to huddle around it to watch the bowl games. I called and they said they would get a new tv in the next couple of days. They finally brought a larger one on the 3rd day of our 5 day trip, did not replace the broken one but just plugged it in front of it. To be fair we checked in on 12/31 and the office was closed until 1/2. Therefor we could not address some of these concerns until then, which also added to our unease about the place. We did like that the kitchen has been nicely updated and the master was large but wished there was a little more attention to detail in other areas of the condo.

The place could use some updating. You could tell some things were very old (they still worked but could use an upgrade). Not a bad walk to the beach and the condo was right by the stairs. There was an elevator too for easy use if you had a lot of bags or small children. The place came with a lot of equipment for a stay more than a lot of air bnb places. Perfect for our short stay on Longboat Key. I would definitely stay there again. The general property was also very well maintained and was clean and looked great.

Great Location and unit size - Not worth the price

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great, units are large and well equipped. The building exteriors, walkways, pool area and landscaping looked well maintained. The buildings are wood frame, so kids running up and down the walkways will be heard and felt inside your unit. My unit smelled of bacon and there were some Cherrioes on the floor when we checked in. We had a 3rd floor unit. There is one elevator which broke down after we checked in and was not functioning the rest of our time there. Beach wagons, coolers, grilling food, etc., all had to be carried up and down three levels. Management did not put an out-of-order sign on the elevator. The first day my wife got stuck in the elevator. Thankfully the door opened after a few minutes. I asked for additional time at checkout to carry everything down, management granted 15 minutes additional, and offer to close the office to help carry things down. I typically travel to smoke free hotels/resorts. The grounds are not smoke free, so there are ash trays around the buildings and cigarette butts thrown in the sand on the beach. Also needed to move upwind of the smokers on the beach, as it gets pretty tight between beach chairs.I would not have minded these inconveniences; however, for the price point, I expected better.If you go in with the expectation that you are paying for location and unit size, you shouldn't be disappointed.
