The cottage is very clean , decorated well and extremely comfortable. The hot tub area is wonderful! Communication was easy and entry to the home. Thank you for hosting us . Hope to come back with our friends !
Our family of 4 enjoyed our overnight stay at Pine Meadow. Our teenagers loved the hot tub and firepit after an afternoon of rafting with Laurel Highlands, but were bummed that the stream was on the other side of the road through private property. Worth all of the pennies for a pet-friendly, immaculately clean and cozy cottage.
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the house. The house is located down a rural gravel lane over a mile from the main route 40. The property has nearly no yard to roam. The common areas of the house are very spacious, well equipped and comfortable. We ate our dinners outside on the large covered deck with a fan which was nice with the rumbling stream sound from across the street. Unfortunately the keypad didn't work at check-in and took about half an hour to resolve with the host through the message system. A phone call would have been preferred for resolution. Additionally one of the bedroom AC units wasn't working and wasn't resolved during our 4 night stay. Otherwise, it was a nice place as pictured.
The home was very clean and well stocked for our stay. We had plenty of towels, coffee, and kitchen items for our short time there. It is pet-friendly, which was perfect for us to bring our dogs to enjoy the area. There was a slight snag checking in (the keypad was broken), but the hosts were very quick to respond to messages so we could get inside. Thank goodness the wifi worked great (and outside) or else those messages would not have been possible. The home is quite remote and there is no cell service in the area. For anyone staying in the winter months, be advised it is on a gravel road, which could pose some travel issues if the weather is icy. The outside spaces (grill, hot tub, firepit) are excellent and would had been used more if our stay was longer. Note that there is a pretty constant stream of side-by-sides, UTVs, quads, etc that travel up and down the road all day long. I'm not sure what they are all doing, but there were more of them than cars on the road.
