About this property
Villa Kas ku Playa 55
Summary:
Villa Kas ku Playa 55 is an oceanfront villa with a private beach and a private infinity pool at Coral Estate, on the quiet west coast of Curaçao. Steps lead from the terrace down to your own stretch of sand, and five en-suite bedrooms give room for up to 10 guests to spread out and enjoy the Caribbean Sea.
- Directly on the oceanfront, with a private beach, palapa, beach bar and private pier
- Private infinity pool with sea views and an outdoor shower
- Five air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, sleeping up to 10 guests
- Open kitchen and living area with views of the Caribbean Sea
The Space:
Villa Kas ku Playa 55 is designed around the view. The open-plan living area has a high, lofted ceiling and large sliding glass doors that open onto the terrace and the infinity pool, so inside and outside become one space. A comfortable lounge sofa, natural tones and tropical touches give the villa a calm, relaxed feel, and the flatscreen TV offers international channels.
Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom
All five bedrooms have air conditioning and a private en-suite bathroom, so every guest has their own space and privacy.
The master bedroom is in the main house. It has a king-size bed with a premium mattress, sea views from the bed and a flatscreen TV. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in rain shower, a double vanity and a toilet.
The second bedroom, also in the main house, has a double bed and looks out over the ocean and the terrace. Its bathroom has a walk-in shower, a vanity and a toilet.
Two more guest rooms lie next to the gallery, each with an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
The fifth bedroom is near the driveway and stands separate from the main house, which makes it ideal for guests who like a little extra privacy. It has its own bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
A kitchen that opens onto the terrace
The open kitchen connects directly to both the living room and the terrace, so you can cook with the sea in view and carry breakfast or dinner straight outside. It is fully equipped:
- Cooking island with bar stools
- Full-size stove
- Oven and microwave
- Dishwasher
- American-style fridge with ice and water dispenser
Infinity pool and terrace
The spacious terrace and infinity pool look straight out over the Caribbean Sea. Swim a few morning laps or take a cooling dip later in the day, rinse off under the outdoor shower and stretch out on the sun loungers. When the sun is at its strongest, the shaded lounge area with cushions is the place to be. From the terrace, the pool and the beach, you have a front-row seat for the sunset every evening.
Your own private beach
A staircase leads from the terrace down to the villa's private beach, the highlight of Kas ku Playa 55. Here you'll find soft sand, clear water and a palapa with loungers and hammocks. Your own beach bar is the spot for a cold drink with your feet in the sand, and from the private pier you step straight into the sea for a swim or a snorkel.
Comfort and convenience
- WiFi throughout the villa
- Air conditioning in all bedrooms
- Flatscreen TVs with international channels in the living room and master bedroom
- Outdoor shower by the pool
- Private pier for swimming and snorkelling
The Neighborhood:
Coral Estate is a gated resort on Curaçao's quiet west coast, in the region locals call Banda Abou, just outside the village of Sint Willibrordus. It's a residential estate built around a simple motto: peace, space and safety, with 24/7 security on the grounds. Nature runs right through it: cactus, divi-divi trees and dry kunuku scrubland on and around the resort and the sea opening up in front of you. A short drive away is Jan Kok bay, where the island's iconic pink flamingos wade through the shallow salt pans.
Almost everything you need sits together at the Coral Estate Centre: a spa, a dive school, a small boutique and a bakery. The bakery is where the day starts, with a croissant and a fresh smoothie and it turns into a pizzeria in the evening.
Down on the ocean side are two restaurants. Karakter sits on the resort beach, where you can spend the whole day on a lounger and have food and drinks brought to you or eat at a table with your feet in the sand. Koraal serves the same view from its terrace up on the cliff.
Three of the island's best beaches are close by: Daaibooi and Playa Porto Marie around 10 minutes by car, Cas Abao about 15. This is the calm half of Curaçao, with quieter bays, better diving and space to yourself.
Getting Around:
Coral Estate sits about 25 minutes from Hato International Airport (CUR) and roughly 25 to 30 minutes from Willemstad, so the whole island stays within comfortable reach while you're staying on the quiet side of it.
Do you need a car in Curaçao? For a stay here, yes. There's no supermarket inside the gate and the beaches, dive sites and restaurants that make the west coast special are spread out along the coast road. With a car you can chase a new beach every day, start the morning with an early hike in Christoffel Park or drive into Willemstad for shopping and dinner.
We keep our own rental cars on the estate and rent them exclusively to our guests, so you can arrange one directly with us instead of queueing at the airport desk. Get in touch and we'll talk you through the options and have the car ready when you arrive.
We can also arrange a taxi for you, for the ride from the airport when you land, back again on departure, or an evening out in Willemstad without worrying about the drive home. Let us know when you need one and we'll book it.
Other Things to Note:
A few practical things, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
- Your holiday starts with a drink on us. Every guest is welcome to a free drink at Karakter, the Coral Estate beach restaurant at the water's edge.
- Booking with us comes with 24 hours to think it over. If you change your mind within that time, you can cancel free of charge, no questions asked.
- Your accommodation is cleaned before you arrive, the beds are made and fresh bath towels and beach towels are waiting for you. Staying five nights or longer? Cleaning and fresh linens and towels are included every three to four days at no extra cost.
- The rate you see is based on the number of guests you enter, so do check that it matches your party before you book. It always includes the use of one bedroom per two guests. Would you rather spread out over more bedrooms? You can add one or more extra bedrooms for an additional charge per night. This also can be arranged after booking, so just get in touch and we'll take care of it.
- Fancy a barbecue? We can arrange one for an additional charge. We'll have it ready to use when you want it, gas, charcoal or electric depending on the accommodation and we'll clean it after you leave.
- Normal electricity and water use is included in your rate, based on running the air conditioning around 8 to 12 hours a day. That covers a comfortable stay for almost everyone and the vast majority of guests stay well within it. If usage goes well beyond that, a surcharge applies.
- A refundable deposit of USD 500 is arranged at check-in, preferably as a credit card authorisation. It covers any damage or loss during your stay and is released in full after check-out once everything is in order.

The house design was perfect for our large family gathering for adults. The views were breathtaking and ample space for family dinners and games as well as outdoor lounging. However, it was the Coral Estates staff at every level that was spectacular - very responsive for every need. The best customer service I have ever experienced.

Misleading
The location of the house is good.
There were several problems with this house no AC in the living room, kitchen, and dining room and it was very hot and very uncomfortable.
Not enough towels, and toiletries compared to the size of the house.
They charge extra $$ if you request for extra towels.
They don’t have a portable grill if you want to barbecue, but they will charge you to rent a grill.
For the amount of money you pay to rent this house the grill should be part of the amenities.

Thank you for taking your time and leaving a review, your feedback is greatly appreciated. We are sorry to hear this was your experience with us.
We would like to mention that having air conditioning in the living room is not a common feature in most villas in Curacao, but we understand you and we will certainly relay your feedback to the villa owners to explore ways to enhance the overall experience. In regards to the towels, at the beginning of your stay, we offered you extra towels at no additional cost.
We genuinely value your feedback and have already shared it with our team. This will help us to ensure continuous improvements for the future. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again.

Our group was here 1/13-1/20. The property is gorgeous and very well maintained. We used the bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house, all of which were well appointed and very comfortable. There is air conditioning only in the bedrooms, but if you open the house up and use all the fans, it is comfortable, at least in January. There is no fan in the kitchen, which can be very hot to work in.
While there were all the kitchen tools and machines you would need, be aware that they are all in Dutch, so as an American trying to run the dishwasher, that had a big amusement factor.
A good hint about this property, bring ALL the supplies you might need to cook, clean and bathe. There will be no dishwashing soap, no scrubber, no seasonings or condiments for food, no coffee and not enough paper towels or TP for a weeks stay. Glad we brought down extra garbage bags
