Welcome to the Onion City Retreat, where Winooski is waiting for you at this charming 2-bedroom apartment. Winooski got its name from the Abenaki dialect and means “where the wild onion grows.” Inside, guests will find one bedroom with a soothing space featuring a king bed and the other bedroom with a full-size bed. You will also have a living room with a convenient full-size Murphy bed. Climate control keeps the apartment pleasant year-round with heating and AC. On a warm day, relax on the large back deck with views of Camel's Hump and UVM. Cozy up on the couch to read a book or watch a movie on cool weather days. Regardless, whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploring or enjoying a quiet morning, this terrific spot feels like a true home away from home. Low key, out of the way spot within close driving distance to Burlington downtown and campus. Ideal place if you’re in town for a show or to see your college kids for break. Check in was easy and the host was quick to reply. Definitely recommend.

This was a perfect spot for a night out in Burlington! Amazing location. Lots to do in the area. The apartment was bigger than I expected and we had plenty of room to relax after a long day out. Any question I had Laura was quick to answer.

A great spot to stay for a Vermont getaway weekend! Laura was friendly and easy to communicate with. The location is close to 88 for easy access to other parts of the state, but the center of Winooski had everything we needed as well! A nice quiet neighborhood with clear instructions on how to access the space. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Would highly recommend Laura’s place in Winooski!

We are both originally from New York State and landed here about 30 years ago. We are so proud to call Vermont home! We love the outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and more. We also love to travel and explore restaurants, breweries, and cafes. We are so excited to have you stay at the Onion City Retreat!

Why they chose this property

We lived in a neighboring town for years and once we became empty nesters we knew we were ready to move on. We love living in a city where we can walk to anything we need. We not only have our Airbnb in Winooski, but live here as well.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is its own unit, so guests essentially have their own home. It boasts a large deck with beautiful views and has a private backyard as well. We are just a 10 minute walk to the circle, and less than a 5 minute drive to I89. It is the perfect location!
