About the host

Host profile image
I live and work in Washington, D.C., and like many people in the city, life can move fast. Over time, I learned how important it is for me to slow down, disconnect from the noise, and spend time in nature.
What started as weekend escapes to the Shenandoah Valley quickly became something I deeply needed—quiet mornings, fresh air, coffee on the porch, and nights under a sky full of stars.

Cedar Point Cabin became my personal sanctuary, a place to reset and recharge. Hosting guests is my way of sharing that feeling with others. I genuinely enjoy creating a space where people can relax, feel comfortable, and make meaningful memories—whether that’s with family, friends, or just a peaceful solo getaway.

Why they chose this property

I chose this area because it strikes the perfect balance between nature, comfort, and accessibility. Being part of the Sky Bryce community means you’re surrounded by trees and mountain air, yet close to everything that makes the Shenandoah special—skiing, hiking, wineries, and small towns with real character.

I love that the neighborhood feels peaceful and safe, with well-maintained roads (especially in winter), scenic walking routes, and a strong sense of respect among neighbors. It offers the calm of the mountains without the stress of being completely isolated.

What makes this property unique

Cedar Point Cabin is unique because it was never designed to feel like a rental—it was designed to feel like a retreat. Every detail reflects how I personally use the space: cozy but uncluttered, comfortable yet practical, and connected to the outdoors.

From the hot tub under string lights, to the wood-burning fireplace, private deck, EV charger, and thoughtful layout for families and small groups, this cabin blends modern convenience with a warm, lived-in feel. It’s a place where you can truly slow down—read, talk, cook, soak, and breathe.

The cabin has also been a guest favorite for years, with a 4.96★ average rating on its previous listing, and I’m committed to continuing that same level of care, comfort, and hospitality.
