I brought my daughter and her friend to Tampa for the BTS concert. We arrived at the motel around 5 PM. We were told by the motel manager that they stopped taking online reservations eight months ago. Bottom line… We were scammed! We called the host and were told that they would call the hotel and get it resolved for us. When we did not hear from them, 45 minutes later, I called back. A switchboard operator told me that they were still working on the problem and that they would get back to me. We couldn’t wait any longer because the show started at 8 PM. We ended up booking a hotel two hours away, in Gainesville because there was nothing local for under 300 per night. The host of this property is still sending me emails saying that they are trying to get the situation resolved. We just want our money back and hope that no one else falls for this awful scam. I hope that Vrbo does not continue letting them use this site. I have more details and emails to share with the Vrbo customer service team. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOST.
