We live on the Eiderstedt peninsula in a thatched-roof house on a mound that was first mentioned in the books in 1796. Our property is located on one of the most beautiful streets in Eiderstedt, which is lined with almost 50 thatched roof houses, dome houses and farmhouses, as well as different fields and pastures with sheep, cows and horses. A great place to get away from city life and to relax. Therefore, guests are only welcome from the age of 12.
The living room
The apartment is located on the ground floor, starting from the large hall (common room). Due to the good indoor climate of the thatched roof, there is a pleasant indoor climate in all living areas in all seasons. The fully equipped kitchen leads to the dining room with a fireplace, from which the bathroom opens. Directly from the dining room you can go directly into the lounge area (with day bed and TV), which in turn leads to the cozy master bedroom. The spacious shower room is equipped with underfloor heating, Victorian floor tiles and English fittings and ceramics. Hair dryer, shampoo, soap and towels are of course available.
This apartment is ideal for couples who want to live a little more generously on their vacation. The lounge area can of course also be used as a second bedroom for a child or another guest - however, we ask that you consult us before booking.
We are happy to open our house to guests and are always available to contact you for tips and a good conversation - if on site. Of course, we respect the privacy of our guests, as we would like for us. Dogs are welcome, our happy pointer Kona is happy about every guest dog to play with. The garden is fenced in at the back and can be shared by our guests and four-legged friends. Of course without guarantee, because we don't know how busy your dog can dig or jump.
We perceive this place as a place of power full of positive energy, we are close to tourist attractions, the Eider and the Wadden Sea. There are lovely farmers in our neighborhood - there are no pig fattening or chicken batteries. Accordingly, there is no typical odor nuisance or health risk. All of our neighbors deliver their milk regionally to the Osthusumer Molkerei in Witzwort, where there is also a nice farm shop with regional products.
Access for guests
Common areas are the large hall with tiled stove and the gallery with a selection of different books for reading or playing the piano on our Schimmel piano (who can). In addition, our guests can stay in the entire garden in the different areas to picnic, meditate, or just to look at the water & fields, watch birds in the trees and bushes and possibly spot game in the opposite field ,
