Great Location, but Stressful Check-In, Significant Maintenance and Cleanliness IssuesThe Good: The location is excellent—quiet neighborhood, garage parking, and very close to the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and Valley of Fire. The AC/Heater worked well, and the water softener was a nice touch. The Bad (Communication & Check-in):The check-in process was incredibly stressful. Despite a 3:00 PM check-in time, we never received our entry code. We messaged the host at 3:25 PM and received no response. We arrived at 5:00 PM—two hours late—and still no response. We called and the host did not answer. We finally had to call Vrbo Customer Service, and only then did the host send the code. The Reality: The home is poorly maintained and was not properly cleaned. The bathroom floors were not mopped, the entertainment center was covered in dust and the counters were wiped with a dirty rag, leaving a film. We even found expired drinks in the fridge. There are no blinds or window coverings in the kitchen and living room areas which created privacy concerns. The beds are extremely hard. Combined with thin pillows, inadequate blankets, and towels that were old and scratchy, it was very difficult to feel comfortable or get a restful night. The backyard is unusable and feels like a safety risk—it’s overgrown with weeds and the patio cover is falling off. The stressful check in combined with the lack of cleanliness, basic maintenance, and uncomfortable beds made for a very poor experience.
