Secluded woodsy retreat

Very clean, cute place tucked in the woods. It is on a very peaceful, serene channel-very restful! Nice outdoor fire ring. Nice deck, grill, and cute living room and kitchen! Easy check in and out!

Beautiful location

Lots of space, very clean. Definitely would go back. Just wish some of the trees would be cleared, not many, to have a better view of the channel and the sky. Just me like looking up at the stars especially when I’m up north.

The outside needs a little help, but inside was great! It was what I expected. I would have liked a vacuum for the carpet for my own clean up and a regular toaster. I would stay there again.

Cute and sweet!

This cabin was cute and sweet. Great dog friendly place to stay! The fire pit area was very nice and the master bedroom was so spacious. A couple down sides just to make people aware; while there is a small dock, it’s not large enough to park your boat at. Also, the exterior of the cabin could use a little work. Overall, a very nice stay for our needs and I would book again. Thank you!!

Snowmobile race

House was extremely cold when we entered, finally got a fire going and it warmed up nicely. The stove will not keep a fire overnight (bummer) and we taped off outside air inlet (worked better, needs flue damper). Overall we had an awesome time. I texted about needing firewood and it was promptly delivered. Thank you for a great experience .

Awesome time in Las Gaviotas

The process to rent the house was super simple. Everything is done by email with the owner and you can even pay by credit card on Paypal. Once you have sent the money, they send you a key, parking permits and map and you just have to show up. The entire place is amazing! The house is really clean and has all amenities, not to mention the absolutely incredible views. The village as I like to call it is very cute since all house are deigned differently... The swimming pool, jacuzzi and shuffle board will keep you busy. The part I loved the most were the incredible tide pools where you can see anemones, starfish, sea slugs, urchins, mussles and other creatures I had never seen before. Before we left we had been warned about security in Rosarito but we never felt threatened or at risk when we went to the large supermarket in Rosarito, or to visit Puerto Nuevo or walking accross the street from Las gaviotas to the bar, pottery shop and convenience store. People were nice and ready to help when we were looking for direction. Even the army was real cordial when they checked our car at the check point. It was my husband's second stay and my first, but I would go back without a doubt!

maison au Mexique et pas San diego

Il faut savoir que la maison correspond tout à fait à la description et que le lotissement est absolument paradisiaque. Le probleme est que cette maison ne se situe pas a San diego mais au Mexique a plus de 40kms de la frontiere. Il n'y a absolument rien à faire aux alentours, ni rien à visiter, de plus cela peut etre dangereux! Pour aller aux EU il faut s'armer de patience car de tres longues heures d attente à la frontiere et ceci à n importe quelle heure du jour et de la nuit (meme à 1h du matin) enfin il y a plusieurs peages...

These guests visited from France and stayed at our house in Mexico which is 25 miles south of the United States and Mexico border crossing at San Diego or San Ysidro. During their stay at our house they apparently wanted to frequently go to San Diego and visit the tourist attractions in San Diego. However, they were dissapointed when they tried to enter the US from Mexico and there were up to 2 hour waits at the border at certain times of the day. We understand their frustration but their difficulty at crossing the the US and Mexico border was out of our control. I believe they thought crossing the US and Mexico border was much like Europe where you can easliy cross from one country to another.
