Two big holiday apartments with a garden, in an idyllic location right by the Ellé River, not far from the historic centre of Quimperlé


This former mill from the 19th century stands on a 1500m² enclosed plot of land right by the Ellé River. The historic centre of Quimperlé with its shops is about a kilometre away. The building has been carefully renovated and houses two exceptional holiday apartments, accessed via a pedestrian bridge. Holiday-makers will find an oasis of tranquillity in these idyllic surroundings.

The garden provides plenty of secluded little spots. A grill, garden furniture and sun loungers are provided for relaxing. You can have fun playing table tennis or table football. The site is secured by an automatic gate. Parking spaces are available.

Canoeing on the river is a popular sport. There is a canoe and kayak club 300 metres from the house, which has introductory courses, also for children. Of course there are also places you can go swimming and fishing. There are many hiking trails such as the famous GR 34 nearby. The well-known beaches at Pouldou are a 15-minute drive away.

Some canoes and a pedalo are available to explore the area closer to the water. The use of the canoes is your sole responsibility. Life jackets and paddles are available.

A former 19th century flour mill situated in the middle of the river "éllé", 1km from the historic centre of the lower town of Quimperlé, "haven of peace" or "little paradise" are the names my guests give me after enjoying the peace and quiet of the place. The river that runs through me is navigable by canoe for several kilometres upstream, and 13 km downstream separates me from the ocean, the ports and beaches of Guidel and Le Pouldu.
From 20 to 60 km, by expressway, you are in Lorient, Pont Aven, Concarneau, Quimper and Vannes.
There are many footpaths (GR34, Saint Jacques de Compostelle....) within easy reach of the property.

Rest, relax, swim, hike (guide provided), observe nature, fish...all on site, in a magnificent and exceptional setting, for a successful holiday. You can borrow a pedalo or canoe to get closer to the flora and fauna of this magical place.

The "éllé" gîte has three bedrooms and sleeps six (7 maximum) on chestnut parquet flooring, a living room with open-plan kitchen, a large bathroom with bath/shower and two washbasins. There is a separate toilet. The surface area of the gîte is approximately 80m². A charming terrace overlooking the water awaits you for complete relaxation and unforgettable moments. All of the gîte's windows offer a view of the river.
