Trip destinations nearby include: Rüdesheim (Drosselgasse and Niederwald memorial with a wonderful view over the Rhiengau and its castles), Loreley (cliffs steeped in myth, a summer toboggan), Kaub (world-famous Pfalz Castle in the middle of the Rhine), the Rheingau Riesling route, Taunus Wunderland, Rheinsteig trail, boat trips on the Rhine and the Landmuseum in Ransel.
