The Little Lake House - Sunrise Views - 5 min Walk/1 min Drive to Boat Ramp
Welcome to The Little Lake House on Center Hill Lake
Located just 1 hour outside Nashville, this light-filled, 1,175 sq. ft. mountain-modern cabin is tucked into the trees near the tip of a secluded peninsula. Single-level layout with easy entry and no interior stairs.
What I Love About This Cabin What I love most about The Little Lake House is the feeling of complete privacy without feeling isolated. Being perched in the trees on this quiet, wooded acre gives the cabin an incredible 'treehouse' vibe, especially when you step out onto the wrap-around deck to catch the sunrise. As an educator who appreciates thoughtful design, I loved curating the interior so that it feels highly upgraded but still perfectly comfortable. My absolute favorite aspect, though, is the sheer convenience: the driveway is flat and easy to navigate, the fiber internet is blazing fast, and I love that we can leave the house and have our toes in the water at the boat launch in less than five minutes.
Why You Will Love This Cabin Single-Level Living (Zero Stairs inside): A highly accessible layout with absolutely no stairs inside the home (one step outside to get to the front door), making it perfect for multi-generational families or guests with mobility needs.
Effortless Lake Access: Steps from the water without the waterfront price tag. Enjoy a scenic 5-minute stroll (0.2 miles) or a 1-minute drive to the quiet public boat ramp and swim area.
Fully Stocked for Longer Stays: We provide the bulk amenities (Paper Goods Cleaning Supplies, Toiletries, Kitchen Essentials) and everyday essentials that other rentals skip, so you don't have to spend your first vacation day at the grocery store.
Workcation Ready: Features a dedicated workspace and blazing-fast 576 Mbps fiber Wi-Fi for seamless streaming and remote work.
The Space (Room by Room) Living Area: A space designed for connection with an electric fireplace, oversized windows, and board/arcade games. For family movie nights, we provide a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth mobile projector to use indoors or out!
Chef-Ready Kitchen: Outfitted with stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, a dedicated coffee/tea bar, and plenty of cookware.
Primary Bedroom: Premium linens, a private Smart TV, and double doors that open directly onto the sunrise deck.
Second Bedroom: Premium linens, a private Smart TV, and blackout shades for sleeping in.
Bathrooms: Two impeccably clean full bathrooms, stocked with fluffy towels and everyday toiletries.
Outdoor Living: A wrap-around deck with outdoor dining furniture, a gas grill, a hammock strung between the pines, and a private fire pit (firewood provided!).
Modern Conveniences: High-efficiency central HVAC, an in-unit washer/dryer, and a contact-free smart lock for easy check-in.
The Boater's Guide The Driveway: Best suited for standard vehicles and boats 16’ or smaller due to our secluded, wooded lot.
Larger Vessels: If you are hauling a larger boat, we highly recommend grabbing a nightly slip at the full-service Hurricane Marina (just 10-15 mins away). It is incredibly affordable (~$30/night) and keeps your parking and launching totally stress-free!
What You Will Love About The Area Guests constantly tell me how surprised they are by the sheer variety of things to do right at our doorstep. Our location at Center Hill Lake is the ultimate basecamp:
The Local's Secret: Skip the crowded marinas. You have quick, easy access to a quiet public boat ramp and swim area just a minute down the road.
State Parks & Waterfalls: Nature lovers will appreciate being under 30 minutes from some of Tennessee's best hiking and waterfalls at Rock Island, Burgess Falls, and Edgar Evins.
Dining & Distilleries: When you are ready to slow down, crossing the scenic Hurricane Bridge to grab a bite at Twisted Oar, Fishlipz, or Cheryl's Beau Bees—or taking a 30-minute drive to Short Mountain Distillery—makes the entire trip feel effortless and memorable.

I am a scientist who loves nature. I also enjoy sharing this fantastic home.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it has elements that I have found desirable. It is private, has a spacious property, fantastic views from the deck and the rooms, and ready access to the water. In addition, it is located in close proximity to several parks with waterfalls and great hiking. Of course the local wineries and distilleries add another dimension to the attractiveness of the location.
What makes this property unique
This home is unique in many ways. First the design elements that combine modern and rustic forms work well together. The location of a 1 minute drive (5 minute walk) to a boat launch and swimming area is a home run. The cabin has a lot of privacy and gives that tree top vibe but with nice views of the lake. My absolute favorite is the sunrises that lights up the house through the large windows and doors. You are literally awakened by the rays as the sun rises above the ridge, cutting across the deck into the primary bedroom and living room.
