Overall we had a positive stay. The location is terrific! 15-minute walk to Piedmont Park and Botanical Garden. Walking distance to grocery shopping and restaurants. 10-minute drive to downtown. It is an older home, but has a lot of nice updates (new bathrooms, appliances, and furniture). It is a safe neighborhood, parking behind the building, and we never heard occupants in the other apartments. There is both central air and window units upstairs. Check-in and check-out was easy. The property manager responded within a few hours of messaging. It still needs a little work to be a 5-star. The shower faucet handle would not stay on, there's no hot cold water from the kitchen faucet, and several light bulbs need to be replaced. The master bed was too firm for our liking (but that's personal preference). There are still some blemishes on the walls, like door knob holes and finish peeling off the walls in the dining room. The cooking equipment (pots, pans, etc) was all very old and really needs to be updated to feel safe to cook with, and there weren't enough towels for a place that sleeps 6. The manager was appreciative that we alerted them to things that still need some attention. Also something to note for future guests is that between about 9 am and 8 pm, it is nearly impossible to turn left out of the driveway unless someone lets you in because it backs up along the road in front of the house. There are other ways around, but just a little annoying.
