Other things to note Other Things to Note
Welcome to the Smokies! This area is beautiful year-round, but it’s still the mountains — so a little preparation goes a long way.
Seasonal & Weather Tips
Winter: Roads can get slick, especially in higher elevations. Pack warm layers and check weather and road conditions before driving.
Fall & Spring: Temps swing quickly. Bring a jacket even if the forecast looks warm.
Summer: Humid and warm — stay hydrated and pack light layers.
Nature & Wildlife
You’re in the Great Smoky Mountains, which means wildlife is part of the experience:
Black bears roam the area. Never leave food in your car or outside. Keep doors locked.
Snakes & bugs: Not common near the cabin, but possible anywhere outdoors. Wear proper footwear and use bug spray on hikes.
Don’t feed or approach wildlife — enjoy them from a distance.

Comfortable walking shoes
Layers for changing weather
Rain jacket (mountain showers move in fast)

Great experience! My kids loved it and said it’s the cabin we always need to get! Love how close it was to the parkway and to food city but also felt secluded! Even saw a bear which seems to be a highlight of the weekend for the kids
The stay was great. The house is conveniently located right off the artisan trail and near a trolly stop. We had a small issue with the water day one and the host fixed it right away. House was clean, comfortable, quiet, and well stocked with everything you need. Highly recommend Will be back
Having 0 reviews I was nervous with this rental but I was blown away by how perfect it was! This cabin was great for 2 couples. Plenty of room for more to stay, too! The starter supplies were very generous, washing machine/dryer was fantastic, game room was great, hot tub was perfect temperature, kitchen well stocked. The road to the driveway is better than some we had to drive on. Very quiet and manageable, but it is a normal hill in the area. The listing was exactly as described and pictures matched what was there. Very clean (and I am picky). We couldn’t figure out the door lock and the host responded within a minute, very responsive. Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a place to stay!
