Welcome to the “Zum Bodekiesel” holiday rental,

Are you looking for a place to relax, a base from which to explore the beautiful natural scenery of the Harz region on various trails, or simply a holiday rental to make the best time of the year even more enjoyable? We’re happy to offer you our lovingly renovated holiday rental.

Our holiday rental is located on the ground floor of a townhouse built in 1906 and, with 3 rooms spread over 86 square metres, invites you to linger. Its quiet location in Thales’s Upper Town is the perfect starting point for planning and embarking on excursions.

Even from the living room—featuring hardwood floors and large, bright windows—you’ll enjoy views of the nearby Roßtrappe and the Hexentanzplatz.
The living room features a large dining table that seats up to 6 people, perfect for enjoying meals together. A spacious, comfortable sofa area, a selection of books for all ages, board games, and a flat-screen TV provide plenty of entertainment.

The kitchen, equipped with an electric stove, a ceramic cooktop, and a dishwasher, gives you the opportunity to cook even while on holiday. A small, cosy seating area in the kitchen for two people is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee. The kitchen is also equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and a small kitchen radio. In addition, you’ll find a SodaStream in the kitchen to save you the hassle of carrying water bottles.

The small bathroom includes a toilet, a combined bathtub with a glass shower enclosure, a towel warmer (which can also be powered by electricity in the summer), and a vanity with spacious drawers. A large mirror with lighting and a hair dryer are also provided in the bathroom.

The bedroom, which overlooks the garden, stands out for its unique design; it can be configured either with two single beds measuring 90 x 200 cm or as a double bed measuring 180 x 200 cm. Nightstands, complete with bedside outlets and various lighting options, are just as much a given for us as adequate blackout curtains for the night and a closet for your wardrobe.

The front bedroom, facing a quiet side street, will greet you first thing in the morning when you open the curtains with a stunning view of the Roßtrappe. You’ll spend the night in a spacious double bed measuring 200 x 200 cm. This bedroom also features nightstands with outlets near the bed, a closet, blackout curtains, and a large mirror.

In the courtyard, you can enjoy a small seating area consisting of four chairs, a table, and a grill.

Upon request, we’ll provide a high chair and a travel cot free of charge—please let us know when you book.

Within a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the city centre (approx. 600 m), the Bode Valley (approx. 500 m), or the adjacent forest with various hiking trails (approx. 300 m). Public transport, such as buses and trains, is also just a short distance away (approx. 450 m).
A variety of restaurants serving cuisines from around the world are located in the immediate vicinity to satisfy your culinary needs.

Are you bringing your own bikes or would you like to rent some in our region?
No problem—we offer secure bike storage and charging for your e-bike. We’d also be happy to put you in touch with a bike rental company that offers guided tours and, upon request, will deliver the bikes right to your holiday rental.
