Tahoe Basecamp is a wonderful retreat for friends and family. Great location within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, groceries, and the lake. It is less than 2 miles to Heavenly Ski Resort, Heavenly Village and the casinos.

The property is more than 10,000 sq. ft. located in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to a meadow.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Unload dishwasher. Wash all used pots and pans. Turn off ice maker. Place all trash bags in the bear bin by the driveway. Place recycling items in the blue bin across the front yard.
Turn thermostat to 55 degrees.
Turn off all appliances - oven, stove, exhaust, TV, etc.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Note: External camera installed at the front of the house.

It was great place to stay for the value. Comfortably sleeps 7. Host is excellent at communicating. Prime location walkable to grocery stores and restaurants, 5 min uber to stateline. All the appliances and amenities work.

Great location! Fully stocked and had everything also to help us dig ourselves out of the snow when the winter storm hit. Friendly neighbors and neighborhood. Great for the kids and close enough location for morning commute to the mountain. Plenty of room for family! Can definitely tell the home is well loved and gets use but overall a great experience. This property is located very close to all of the important destinations that you want to visit at the southern end of the lake.The 4 bedrooms were very nice and allowed us to have 4 groups of family members all in one home and yet have privacy when that was needed. The large and long kitchen/dining area/living room was great for being together for food and conversation.The kitchen was very well equipped.The view from the second floor outside walkway of Heavenly Valley's Gunbarrel ski run and lifts was great and seeing the full moon rise over that mountain was wonderful.The only drawback was that there was not a nice way to gather on the property outside the home. There is a hot tub area, but it needs some sprucing up. The venue worked out well for us and we appreciate the stay.

The place was great to stay in for a group of four. The house was spacious and everyone had their own room. The drive to Cali lift was easy to go for the day. There was a hiccup with the hot tub, but the host was on top of it immediately and we were able to enjoy it after a long day. Communication was super throughout the visit, and even before when I was trying to understand the location as I had never been to Tahoe. Close to downtown - quick drive. Kitchen was fully equipped for our stay. The downstairs bunk bed I was told wasn't comfortable, which I relayed to the host.

Wonderful location. The main thing that was off was the lack of cleanliness for the property. You had to wear shoes in the house because the bottom of your feet or socks would turn black from the dirty floors. The hot tub also needed cleaned. We did what we could to clean to make it enjoyable but it was disappointing. The beds and pillows were not the best either. I would not book this property again.

Great Location

Excellent house for our guys trip. Centrally located in South Lake Tahoe. Hot tub was nice, so was laundry, and garage storage for skis.

Amazing Base Camp!

We were a group of six adults and we had an amazing trip! The house was everything and more than we could have asked for. We took advantage of the central location, and walked to the lake, grocery store, and lots of delicious food. It is a very easy drive to Heavenly ski area. And the hot tub feels glorious after a day on the slopes! The open floor plan of the kitchen, dining, and living room was perfect for conversations during cooking and playing games. We cooked a lot of meals and always had the dishes and utensils we needed. The meadow next to the house is great for snowman and fort building, and perfect for an epic snow fight :) We did email the owner during our trip and she was quick and responsive to our requests. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful Tahoe Basecamp!!

Great summer retreat!

Stayed here for a summer wedding and it was gorgeous. Perfect summer spot! Probably excellent in winter too; very close to heavenly. The place is very clean, comfortable, and in a very quiet peaceful area. Very spacious for 5 of us, but could easily fit more comfortably. Kitchen is open and great for group cooking. I look forward to staying here again!

Spacious, homey and great location!

It is our tradition to stay here every year. We love this place! During this trip, we were able to visit the salmon spawning at Taylor Creek. Can't wait to return this winter!

Great stay, lots of space!

We had such a great time staying at Basecamp! We had 8 people in our group and had plenty of space, never felt cramped. The kitchen was stocked well and I loved all the windows, lots of natural light. Location is great! Mary was wonderful to work with, very accomodating and had a great response time.

Hawaiian's in Tahoe

This home is just awesome! We arrived the day after Christmas and stayed for 4 days. The layout, amenities and location was perfect. It was our first time to Tahoe (coming all the way from Hawaii) and we couldn't have asked for a better spot! The home had everything we needed from extra blankets to fresh coffee beans. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Mary the owner was great to work with and made our stay easy and worry free. It snowed the second day we were there and we enjoyed the view from the kitchen window. I would highly recommend this vacation rental and will definitely be back very soon! Mahalo!

Awesome house and close to lake tahoe blvd

I like this house very much. We and our family rented this place, its close to lake Tahoe Blvd. and Heavenly ski resort. This is perfect place with all amenities available. My 5 yr. old simple loved it and always refer to go to green house in Tahoe. Owner is very responsive and very nice person. I will love to rent this place again.

Perfect location and mmmmm, hot tub...

GREAT LOCATION! We skied 4 different peaks and all were within an hour max. Could watch snowcats grooming Heavenly at night. Ski rental places are blocks away which really made it easy to rent and to get waxes and edges sharpened between days. Cooked almost every night. There's a great room upstairs for everyone to hangout together. My favorite was definitely the hot tub though...

PERFECT Ski House!

This house is the absolutely perfect Ski House. Not only does it have 4 large bedrooms with more than enough bathrooms, but the kitchen and living room have a completely open flowing layout which was perfect for relaxing. Additionally it has a private courtyard with a hot tub! Everything is spotless and the kitchen is completely appointed and then some. I don't know how you beat this place for the price!
