The apartment is located in the Holm Holiday Centre. It’s about 900 metres to “Kalifornien” Beach, which you can walk to in less than 10 minutes. <br><br>The lift takes you to the ground floor, so you don’t have to climb any stairs with your suitcases or bags—a great way to start your holiday. A short walk down the hallway and you’ll find yourself in front of Apartment 136, a holiday rental measuring about 40 square metres.<br><br>Open the door and step inside—a small kitchen with a ceramic cooktop, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster is on your right. The cabinet contains plenty of cutlery and dishes. There is no oven.<br><br>A few steps further and you’ll find yourself in the light-filled living room, with its comfortable couch. And when the weather’s bad, you can enjoy the LCD TV with satellite connection.<br>You can also read a book you’ve brought along or one of the books provided—either on the sofa or in the comfortable rattan chair.<br><br>Once the balcony door is open, it won’t be long before the call of the seagulls puts you in a holiday mood. From early afternoon until evening, the sun shines on the large balcony. There are also comfortable lounge chairs where you can enjoy the evening after a day at the beach. A parasol provides shade when needed. You can also enjoy breakfast on the quiet balcony.<br>And if you’d like to have breakfast “out and about,” you have a choice: either in the village of Kalifornien (about 800 metres away) or at Café Klönschnack, right next to the Ostseeklinik (about 200 metres away).<br><br>And when night falls, make yourself comfortable in the bedroom on the double bed (140 cm x 200 cm). You can store your clothes in a spacious closet.<br><br>The bathroom is spacious. A cabinet for your personal items is available, as is a hair dryer. You can wash your holiday laundry for free in the washing machine. <br><br>Of course, the apartment is equipped with Wi-Fi, which is available free of charge.<br><br>There is a lockable bike storage room for any bicycles you bring with you. You’ll find a bike rental shop near the beach.<br>You can park your car for free in the car park across the street.<br><br>By bus—the bus stop is not far away—you can reach city centre Kiel within 50 minutes.<br><br>In addition to the rental price, a visitor’s tax is required. For guests 18 years of age and older, this ranges from €1.50 (March 15–April 30 and October 1–October 31) to €3.00 (May 1–September 30) per person per night.<br>You can purchase the visitor’s cards at the Tourist Information Office.<br>In exchange, you’ll receive the OstseeCard, which allows you to use the beach as well as some public transport and enjoy other discounts.
