Small, cozy, rustic cottage in central Portugal in a quiet, idyllic setting in a friendly, original village (Macieira de Alcoba) for rent. Ideal for solo travelers or couples that look for some relaxing time in the middle of the nature.

Getting Around:
The small village of Macieira de Alcoba is located in the Caramulo Mountains between two world famous wine regions (Dao and Bairrada). The ideal starting point for trips to the north or center of Portugal. To Coimbra you drive 45 min, Porto 1 hr, to the coast of Aveiro 45 min. Or just start your walks/ in the region directly in the village.Next shopping possibility: Minimarket in the village A-dos-Ferreiros, about 9 km away.You can swim at the Alfusqueiro river beach, 8 km or in the river Águeda, river beach in the village São João do Monte, 5 km.
No Wi-Fi in the house, but about 50m from the house, at the town hall there is free Wi-Fi, sponsored by the county town of Águeda.In addition, Portugal has a very good LTE network.Please keep in mind that your mobile phone incl. Data usage from European Union is also usable in Portugal at no additional cost. If you don't want to cook, there is a restaurant in the village with excellent regional cuisine.
