I’m a pediatric hematology NP that was born and raised in Massachusetts and live 1hr from our beach cottage. We have 3 kids and a Golden Retriever and have loved vacationing in South Yarmouth for the last 5 years.
Why they chose this property
Our family of 5 has rented the same house in South Yarmouth that was one street over from our current house. We fell in love with the area, the walking proximity to the beach, restaurants, ice cream, mini golf—everything you need is right here or a very short ride. Our neighborhood is a quiet residential street which is perfect for having young kids and the fenced in yard makes it perfect for families with a dog. It’s hard to find nice homes by the beach that also allow dogs so we wanted to be able to pay it forward and allow well-behaved dogs once pre-discussed with us.
What makes this property unique
Our cottage was purchased in the fall of 2025 and has had multiple upgrades including brand new HVAC including central air, fully renovated bathroom with new tub/shower, brand new kitchen cabinets, counters, sink, table, updated bedrooms and sunroom furniture, brand new fenced in yard, new solo stove and more to come.
Cute, affordable, family-friendly rental properties walkable to beaches, food, ice cream and mini golf with a fully fenced in yard that allows dogs—can’t find many of those in the Cape—and I know because we searched every summer for years!
