Old farmhouse at 1,100 m altitude between Katschberg and Lake Millstätter See.

The romantic old farmhouse sits at an altitude of 1,100 m in the Nöring Valley, between Rennweg and Gmünd, and between the “Hohe Tauern” and “Nockberge” nature parks—both of which can be seen in magnificent panoramic views from the wrap-around balcony.

The beautiful garden features a large sun terrace by a small stream, with plenty of seating and loungers inviting you to linger; and if you get thirsty, you can drink from the fresh-water fountain in front of the house.

The 120 m² holiday apartment includes a spacious living room with several seating areas, a traditional tiled stove, smart TV, hiking maps, and books. A large kitchen is integrated into the living area and comes with a dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, and oven. All other standard kitchen facilities and equipment are available.

The very generous Bedroom I has a large double bed. Bedroom II has two large single beds and a children’s bunk bed (for children up to 10 years). A baby cot, changing table, high chair, and toys are also provided.

In the living room, there is also the option for an adult or a child to sleep in a nook behind the tiled stove.

The entire apartment can be heated with the tiled stove; firewood is included in the price. In addition, all rooms have electric heating. Internet is provided via a 16,000 line (approx. 16 Mbps) with Wi-Fi access.

There is also a large bed in the living room behind the fireplace, which is popular with adults but especially with children and teenagers.

The laundry room is located in the basement.

The nearby Brandstätter farm (only a five-minute walk away) offers fresh products such as milk, eggs, fresh cheese balls, and buttermilk—all produced on the farm. Please note that availability is limited.

Golf

There are several beautiful golf courses in the area that offer discounted green fees for each other. Lungau: approx. 26 km; Obermillstatt: approx. 24 km; Radstadt: approx. 73 km; Bad Kleinkirchheim: approx. 49 km. Udine (Italy) and Bled (Slovenia) make lovely day trips.

Skiing

There is no ski slope directly at the house. The nearest ski area is Innerkrems (approx. 17 km), where the Austrian national team also trains, and Katschberg (approx. 20 km). A ski bus runs several times daily from Gmünd via Eisentratten to both areas. Other ski resorts include Goldeck (near Gmünd, approx. 20 km), Obertauern (approx. 50 km), and Bad Kleinkirchheim (approx. 50 km).

Swimming, sailing, surfing, paddling

Carinthia’s lakes are among the warmest in Europe, and the water in the rivers, streams, and lakes is considered exceptionally clean. Outdoor pool in Gmünd (approx. 5 km), Lake Millstätter See (approx. 10 km), Lake Weißensee (approx. 50 km), and Lake Wörthersee (approx. 60 km).

Udine (Italy) and Bled (Slovenia) are also great excursions.
