This historic home is beautiful with great updates. Kathleen was an excellent host! Check-in was fast and easy, and the house was clean and exactly as described. Eight of us stayed here to go to Bucci's Italian Scratch Kitchen “Brunch Please!” and we also visited the Shovel City Drinkery. This house was a perfect getaway and would definitely stay again.

Host profile image

I'm a local Marion host who loves restoring historic homes and creating beautiful spaces for people to gather. This house was a labor of love-carefully restored to preserve its architectural character while ensuring modern comfort for today’s guests.

I take pride in running a clean, well-prepared home and being responsive and attentive throughout each stay. Whether you’re visiting for a wedding weekend, a special gathering, or time with family and friends, I’m happy to help make your time in Marion smooth and memorable.

Why they chose this property

Located in the heart of Marion, Olde Towne Marion is one of the city’s most charming historic neighborhoods, known for its beautiful turn-of-the-century homes, tree-lined streets, and quiet residential feel.

You’re just minutes from Downtown Marion, with local restaurants, shops, wedding venues, and an upscale nightlife scene close by. The neighborhood blends classic architecture with everyday convenience — perfect for morning walks, porch coffee, and experiencing Marion like a local.

It’s a peaceful historic setting with easy access to everything.

What makes this property unique

This isn’t just a historic home — it’s a piece of Marion’s story.

While serving as President, Warren G. Harding is said to have stored personal belongings on the home’s third floor.

Architecturally, the home reflects a graceful blend of Victorian character and Colonial Revival symmetry — with stained-glass windows, detailed woodwork, multiple stairways, and the kind of craftsmanship rarely found in modern construction. Each room offers texture and presence, not just square footage.

It’s a home with stories in its walls — thoughtfully restored so you can experience historic charm without sacrificing modern comfort. Stay somewhere that feels rooted, distinctive, and connected to Marion’s past — not interchangeable.
