Best location and whale watching!

Beautiful home full of original charm and in an outstanding location sitting above the beach. We watched whales while sat on the sun loungers beside the pool, fantastic experience.

An old property with plenty of history to please locals, but no signs of any meaningful restoration to accommodate visitors expecting a quality stay. It’s just a very tired property that immediately makes you want to leave- which we did. Around 10 years ago a review described the villa as shabby chic with the emphasis on shabby. It has deteriorated since then. Current host is hoping the history of the place will blind visitors to its condition and has a well rehearsed defence mechanism.In short don’t visit unless you like the idea of living in 100 year old conditions. Plenty of better accommodation nearby.

Superb family beach house

Fantastic old-style Hermanus family beach house. We couldn't have wished for more. Lovely helpful host and staff. Well equipped. Fantastic for entertainment and walking everywhere. We'll be back if they'll have us. ;-)
