Welcome to Sugarsands, your home away from home in the highly sought-after gated community of Sandpiper Cove, located on Holiday Isle in the heart of stunning Destin, Florida. Nestled within steps of the breathtaking sugar white sands of the Emerald Coast, our home has been newly renovated this year, with all new decor and thoughtful updates for our guests. Our front balcony is truly special, with ocean breezes, a view of Destin Harbor and some of the most picturesque sunsets in Florida. Treat yourself to dinner at Louisiana Lagniappe, the property’s award-winning restaurant, located right across from our home.
Destin is a fisherman’s paradise, and we’ve got the perfect setup for you if you have your own boat. Sugarsands has private parking for a boat trailer. Sandpiper Cove has its own private boat launch into Destin Harbor, as well as private canals in which you can tie off your boat and dock it for the night. The boat must not be taller than 9’ when on the trailer, else you will need to keep it in it the canal. There is a small nightly fee to dock in the canal, and you can easily reserve your own space. If you prefer to fish from land, you can take a short walk to the docks at Louisiana Lagniappe and fish to your heart’s content. They even provide free use of a fish cleaning station on the property, so you can catch and cook your own dinner!
It’s a quick 5 minute walk to your very own front row seat to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Beach service is included in your rental, and Sandpiper’s private Sand Flea beachside restaurant has plenty of delicious treats and eats to enjoy while you relax in the sunshine. They also provide restroom facilities and washing stations. Sugarsands also provides you with a two-person paddleboard, if you’re feeling adventurous! Make sure you wear the provided life jackets as well.
Need a beach break? Sandpiper Cove truly has it all, with two tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, a nine-hole executive par 3 golf course, five pools, three hot tubs, and plenty of scenic space for walking and enjoying the many gorgeous views around the property. Fancy a longer walk? Head down farther into Holiday Isle for even more scenery and beach/harbor views.
Sugarsands provides everything you could possibly need in our freshly-renovated kitchen. If you feel like playing chef, we’ve got you covered. But we know sometimes there’s nothing like having someone cook for you, and our home is oh-so-conveniently located to some of the best restaurants in Destin. We have provided our guests with a curated list of our faves, accessed via a QR code when you stay with us.
The entire home has been freshly painted and new LVP floors installed throughout. Thoughtful touches such as board-and-batten and shiplap add charm and style. The kitchen cabinets are custom, soft-closing, and brand new, with brand new white quartz countertops and a roomy farmhouse sink. All the light fixtures have been replaced and now add to the beachy charm of our home.
Sugarsands has a laundry room separate from the living area, with built-in cabinets and floating shelves for your convenience and storage needs, whether for pantry items, beach towels, or just whatever feels right to you.
Both bathrooms have been renovated, with brand new flooring, vanities, and fixtures.
House Rules:
1. Guests are welcome to bring a maximum of two dogs with them during their stay. There is a $50 mandatory and non-refundable pet fee associated with this. (This is the extra fee our cleaners charge us for a pet deep clean when guests with pets check out.). Guests also must disclose to the property owners that they are bringing a dog or dogs with them. To disclose your pet, just click on the “Pets” drop-down box that is located underneath the “Adults” and “Children” drop down boxes when you are making your reservation. This will also add the $50 fee to your total. That’s it - easy as pie!
2. If a guest brings a pet or pets and does not disclose this information to the owner by checking the above-mentioned “Pets” drop-down box when making a reservation, the owner reserves the right to bill the guest for the $50 cleaning fee that the owner will have to pay for the pet deep clean.
3. Pets must be kept leashed at all times when they are outdoors. These are Sandpiper Cove HOA rules.
4. No parties or events allowed.
5. Absolutely no smoking, vaping, marijuana, or any other drugs are allowed on or in the property. Smoking and vaping is not allowed on the front porch or the balcony.
6. Pets are not allowed on any furniture in the house. This is simply for tidiness and for the longevity of the furniture.
7. Guests must sign a Renter Agreement in order to enter the property. A door code will not be provided unless there is a signed Renter Agreement on file.
8. All adults in the condo, including the person who creates the reservation, must be at least 25 years of age. This is a requirement of the Sandpiper Cove HOA. Sandpiper and the condo owner reserve the right to request ID at time of booking and/or check-in.
9. Placing a reservation request with Sugarsands constitutes the guest’s or guests’ acceptance of these House Rules.
