Perfect little place to stay on the lake

Having originally been from TC and the Long Lake area, staying in the cottage on the Lake was just perfect!

Great stay at the Lake!

This was a great cottage. The kids loved the water; very clean, sandy bottom, and perfect depth for little ones. Updated kitchen and bathroom were very nice. The remainder of the place had the nostalgic “up north cabin” feel. The only downturn was no central A/C; a single window unit air conditioner on the main floor. Granted, the beginning of the week was extremely hot regardless. Very friendly neighbors. Great location to numerous attractions/destinations. Very clean. Very accommodating host. We look forward to returning!

Beautiful stay

Great house, perfect location on the lake. Close to town. Helpful friendly neighbors. Great support from rental management regarding the shower issue. Would definitely book again.

Bat infested

Initially, when we got there, we found an old trash bag in the garbage, used coffee in the coffee maker &wet sheets in the wash. We shrugged it off and that the property was still lovely and Long Lake& looked great. On the first night, there was commotion downstairs we saw a large bat. My brother-in-law shooed the bat out with a sheet. We called the property manager in the morning and they sent an inspector who said the place was absolutely infested. He identified three places in the basement but the bats got in and bat poop all over the house. When we called and asked what the company could do for us, after a long conversation they agreed to refund, but would not help find another place (family of 6 with two toddlers). In addition, they (the management company) were very rude about the whole situation &implied we were making it up. I first spoke with the rep of the company who wouldn't help &then I was passed on to their manager, who acted like she did not want our business at all, and argued about the presence of bats. The question is, why would we make this up to ruin our whole vacation? I would never stay here again. The house is dilapidated and dirty. There are multiple points of entry for a bat or any other creature to come in. These people will consistently do the least amount of work and try to get the most amount of money from the people who rent. The management company is unprofessional. They are called Northland rentals and beware whenever you see them.
