Another wonderful week on Lake Huron at Hoff Cottage. Clean and spacious this is a great place for families to enjoy. Water level was low this year making for a larger beach to explore and look for rocks and lake glass. We will be back.
Another year in the books with another amazing stay at Hoff Cottage. We always feel right at home here. The view is spectacular and the updated bathrooms this year were a beautiful bonus!
The cottage rooms were spacious enough, clean and maintained. The two full baths were great. The kitchen is under equipped if you plan to cook, but you could bring some of your own stuff.
The deck overlooking the lake was a highlight for me. The owner was very responsive to questions. It's a very steep hill to reach the beach but it's worth the climb.
The cottage was very nice and clean and the updated both rooms were a bonus. It was great for our large family of 6 and we even had other family members staying with us and there was plenty of room for everyone. We spent most of our time on the beach and everyone had a blast. It was close to stores and shops which was nice because we forgot a few things, like water shoes. Don’t forget water shoes! There is sand for the kinds to play in but the beach is very rocky but beautiful!
I think my only qualm would be the beds are very uncomfortable but we only stayed for a few nights so it wasn’t that bad. It’s a really cute place to stay and I would recommend it to others.
Plenty of room, awesome view, could stay here forever. Little tricky locating it, once you do you’re good. Already planned another stay here, may make it an annual thing.

This was not our first time staying here. We come back because we. Really like it here. I must say though, this trip had a couple issues we encountered.
1. Sliding door on this property was not locked when we arrived. Everything was fine but could have had a different outcome. Just giving you a heads up.
2. The dryer was full of towels we had to fold and put away so we had some to use.
3. This was not good! We were going to use the oven for dinner but what we found in there turned us away from even wanting to use it. It was disgustingly filthy… and there was a pan left in it with food on it. Did no one check this from the last renters?
4. And the last uncomfortable thing was there were cobwebs full of dead bugs all around the light above the table.
We would love to come back again because we do love it up there but at this time, we’re not sure it will happen.
We checked out on October 6th and
All ladies in 70s and 80s. We love the ease of access-just one step to get in. Beautifully renovated bathrooms. Wonderful sheets. Nice floors. Quiet dishwasher. Perfect table for board games and cards. Also nice folding table for puzzles and games. Gorgeous view.
My family and I had such an amazingly relaxing and fun time. The cottage is brilliant- even when sitting inside you still can see the beach. The deck is everything you could ever want on a cottage that sits right above the lake. You get the best view and for someone like me with heart issues I can't over exert myself and the deck was my main hang out for the week- absolutely glorious. We loved it so much that we locked in another vacation here next August just a few days into our stay! I already miss seeing my kids and husband down on the gorgeous beach! See you next year :)
Hoff Cottage was the perfect getaway for our family! The cottage is well maintained and had plenty of space for our family of five and our dog. The lake views from the cottage are stunning! The kids loved swimming in Lake Huron and looking for petoskey rocks along the shoreline. Willis Marketplace is a short 4-mile drive from the cottage and had everything we needed: groceries, firewood, etc.. We had hot food from the deli (chicken tenders, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes) that was delicious. Overall, we had a lovely time.
The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family. The view from the deck was beautiful! The best part was the easy access to the beach. It was very private, like we were the only ones there. We would definitely rent this place again.
This place was amazing! The view from the deck is beautiful! The rooms are good size and the bathrooms are updated. The property manager responded very fast to any questions I had. Very good place to stay. Definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.
Wonderful time! We loved being right on the lake. We had pretty rainy weather but still had a great time playing games and watching movies. Highly recommend!!!
We had a great time at Hoff Cottage and we appreciate the opportunity to stay there. The home is clean with fresh smells upon entry, nice kitchen and dining area too. We enjoyed the lovely Lake Huron breeze flowing through the opens windows! Kids loved the bunk room, allowing ample sleeping space for the big kids. The porch size is perfect and a nice place to relax and the lower deck is perfect for rinsing sandy feet after exploring the beach. The hill is a bit steep to go down and climb up, but manageable. We pitched a screen tent lake side for a break from the sun and to hold our beach toys overnight. Fire pit on the beach is awesome! And we bought wood for $3 a bundle less then 2 minutes away. To top it off, we saw an eagle our first night and tons of stars nightly!
