I loved this property. Great neighborhood, very peaceful and quiet. Within walking distance to some things in town if you like to walk only about a mile from a great coffee shop. Highly recommend staying here.
Excellent location with very responsive owners! I would suggest adding dressers to the second upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and a full-length mirror anywhere would be nice, but overall we had an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay. Easy access to downtown, the zoo, North Avenue shopping, Tosa, American Family field, etc. Would stay here again if the price is right We stayed for about 2 weeks as a family of 4.

Thank you Margaret! Please come back and stay with us anytime!
A great, cozy house close to all of the things in the Milwaukee area. Our family of four (with two small children, and all the stuff they bring) had plenty of room. We enjoyed hanging out as a family in the living room, the kids enjoyed the radio-themed decor. We were able to get to downtown Milwaukee in 15 minutes and downtown Tosa in 5. Overall a great experience, it had everything we needed and was way better than a hotel for less cost.
Very unique property. Loved the vintage MCM look and feel. My only ding would be the wash cloths and towels. We only received 2 wash cloths for 3 people and there were no dish cloths. One dish towel under the dish drainer. Just a minor inconvenience in our overall trip.

location of this property was good for Mke area- we liked that there was 2 on site parking spots -also you can park on street, a kind neighbor told us what side and how to get a free permit for overnight- we stayed 2 nights the upstairs was nice for a older house - the basement bedroom was unusable when we went to use it the rugs on the cement floor where wet and mold around all the baseboards -it had been raining but mold was also coming thru the paint around the room you could see it growing above the basebaord and water puddles on the cement areas - contacted host at 7 am about wet basement as we had the rest of family coming in for second night, nothing was done, received a call stating the owners don’t live locally and we should just stay upstairs so only 1/2 house was usable - so that evening we had to purchase a blow up mattress to sleep in living room- we contacted vrbo at 9 pm to let them know nothing was done about water issue - host made us feel very uncomfortable as if it was our fault 1/2 the house was unusable and they did nothing to help but got mad we contacted vrbo - also felt uncomfortable as only a couple windows open to get fresh air in from mildew and they don’t lock when closed - we could not use ceiling fans as they were covered in thick paste of dust it was actually hanging off along with cob webs - giving a honest review as a family that comes to Mke often we were looking for a place to come back too - sadly this was not the place -

Heavy rains and storms hit the geographical area of the home prior to the client complaint.
Upon arrival at the property, host found no signs of water, leaks or puddles, or "swishing noises from feet" in the lower bedroom. All carpeting and flooring was dry. Inspectors wiped down the areas in the photos and treated properly. Ceiling fans were also treated and look brand new. Client was reimbursed for one half of the host revenue for goodwill.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and we aim for 10/10 ratings from all of our guests.
