Being a mom is the best job ever, especially to a child born with a rare genetic mutation, but in order to best serve those I love… I need rest too. This was exactly the rest my heart needed for Mother’s Day weekend, a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded getaway with my husband. The hosts were amazing, the setting was relaxing, and every moment felt like a chance to breathe again. We can’t wait to come back!

Thank you for being such wonderful guests. We would love to have you back anytime.
An excellent time staying at this one which was perfect for two people. It was small but quaint, and nicely somewhat secluded. The host was great to work with in communicating and provided any needed response in a fast timely manner. Everything was provided nicely for the location and appreciated the little touch of the snacks as well. The fire pit made for a nice couple of evenings to sit around it when it cooled down, and the hot tub was nice for relaxing as well. The only thing that I would say about the property that didn’t effect us as much since we have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, is that the road to the cabin is a gravel and uphill one so having 4WD does it make it possibly easier to navigate. Overall an excellent experience that I would definitely recommend for those looking to get away for a bit. The outside patio swings and booth stereo speaker setup also was great touch.
We chose this property after having a weekday wedding in a surrounding county. Needless to say we needed to decompress from the stress of the past few days, and this property was special. Before arriving, the hosts sent a welcome PDF through text that gave all the information about the property, surrounding entertainment, and local eats. I never received one of these before, and it was so helpful to just look at the pamphlet whenever we were looking for anything. The hosts also provided a physical booklet, and local maps of the hikes around the area. The property was remote, clean, and they even provided the little things that you may have forgotten (toiletries etc..) so when you arrived you truly had everything you needed. Overall the space was very well thought out with good WiFi, outdoor speakers that you could hear throughout the whole property, and probably our favorite thing; the day swing/bed. There is one on the front porch and one in the back so depending where the sun hit you could sit in the shade or sun. Of course there was a hot tub and fire pit but the unique qualities of this property, as well as the responsiveness of the hosts really made this space special. I never been to a place where you could open up the whole front property with a unique garage style door or use an outside shower listening to nature. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better place for a relaxing experience to relax and take in the excitement of being newly wed.
Our stay at The Dreamer in Laurelville was absolutely incredible! The cabin was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the peaceful setting, the hot tub, and spending our evenings around the fire after exploring Hocking Hills. The location was perfect—close to all of the major hiking destinations while still feeling completely secluded. Every detail made the stay feel comfortable and welcoming, and it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. If you’re planning a trip to Hocking Hills, we can’t recommend The Dreamer enough. We had an amazing time and are already looking forward to coming back!

Thank you for being wonderful guests. Would love to have you back in the future!
We had a great time on our first getaway together! The cabin was beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. We spent our days exploring the area, hiking, and visiting nearby caves. Each evening, we returned to enjoy the hot tub, porch swing, and nightly fires. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a lovely flower display. The owner communicated well throughout our stay. Everything was very clean and tidy, making our visit comfortable. The cabin had everything we needed, the WiFi worked well, and the outdoor sound system was an added bonus. We also enjoyed being able to open the garage door on cooler evenings and use the built-in fireplace while breathing in the fresh air. The air conditioning kept the cabin comfortable on warm days, making it a perfect retreat at any time. We truly had an unforgettable stay and would gladly return. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped getaway!
