Unbelievable Experience
Flew my family halfway across the world only to be met with a property that was in compete disrepair, was very dirty, had ants, cobwebs, crumbling tile inside and out, trash and dog poop in the yard, rust in the tub, stained furniture - it was disgusting. Was told "owner insists on leaving everything in its original condition" and we could rent another property for a 10% discount, no refunds, sorry for the inconvenience, can send a cleaner who just left back over. Spent our vacation panicking and scrambling to find another property for our family in peak season. Had to spend two of the nine nights we booked there since we had nowhere to go and we are out thousands of dollars for the rental and local daily taxes. Don't fall for the charming pictures which don't show the details of a property that should not be rented. VRBO and property management company should be ashamed. Gross misrepresentation and unbelievable inaction. I documented everything with pictures sent to VRBO and was told they would send to health and safety and I contacted them too late for them to do anything. They gave me two phone numbers to call so I could go fight for a refund from the owner or property manager who already said no refund. Dream family vacation to Spain ruined.
Don't make the same mistake we did by trusting that VRBO rentals meet some standard of cleanliness. Will never forget this vacation for all the wrong reasons.
