Quintessential Maine: charming and rustic. The front porch was the highlight with view of Allen Cove and Moose Island. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Perhaps a bit more rustic than the picture say, but hey, it’s Maine. Easy walk to Sand Beach and into Stonington. We loved our week here!

A nice visit

Mossbrook Cottage sits up above the road looking across at the cove and the lobster boats and sail boats that pass. It's lovely to watch the boat traffic and the birds from the porch. All the windows look out at the cove as well. The house is comfortable and charming. The kitchen is very nicely laid out and equipped so meals were fun and not difficult to put together. The main shopping area of Stonington was a pleasant 15 - 20 minute walk which we did most days to either get the Sunday Times or to get ice cream cones or for coffee in the afternoon. We've stayed at different locations in Stonington and Mossbrook was particularly nice because it was near the activity but away enough to be very quiet and peaceful.
