"There's no place like home." We hope you feel the same way here! Enjoy an unforgettable holiday in the Black Forest, where it's at its most beautiful. ;-). In our Black Forest house—a former saddlery and horse farm (the property has existed since around 1850)—we offer a cosy and comfortably furnished, approximately 60 m² “Felicitas” duplex holiday apartment on the top floor, situated in a unique, quiet, and sunny location on the outskirts of town.
We can include VAT on your booking invoice.

“Felicitas” welcomes you with a small entryway featuring a coat rack and a spacious living/dining/kitchen area with an exposed wooden ceiling. In addition to a comfortable dining area, there is a cosy sofa corner with a coffee table and a modern LCD TV with satellite channels. The sofa can be converted into a sleeping area if needed. A small work corner is available for working on a laptop. High-speed internet (Wi-Fi up to 300 Mbit/s is included in the price). An additional small desk with computer accessories (monitor, keyboard, mouse, and, if needed, a printer) can be provided upon request.
The functional kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, oven, microwave with grill function, toaster, refrigerator with freezer compartment, ceramic cooktop, coffee maker, electric kettle, etc.).

Enjoy the magnificent view from the approximately 14 m² balcony (4 chairs with cushions and a table, as well as a lounge chair, are provided).

The bedroom features two comfortable single beds, including dimmable reading lamps, and a satellite TV.
The small, modern bathroom with natural light features a walk-in shower (hair dryer provided).

A small storage closet contains an ironing board, an iron, and additional space for your belongings.

A staircase leads up to the attic, where you’ll find a spacious second bedroom with a double bed, a chest of drawers, and a walk-in storage/closet.

“Felicitas” is a non-smoking apartment; smoking is permitted on the balcony.
Our house is picturesquely situated on a gentle south-facing slope in Unterbränd, near the romantic Kirnbergsee (1,400 metres away—the warmest swimming lake in the southern Black Forest). Ample parking is available directly at the house. A garage can also be rented by arrangement.

The house has been extensively restored using eco-friendly construction methods. Electricity is supplied by our own photovoltaic system, and heating is provided by a solar thermal system combined with pellets. A charging station (wallbox) for electric vehicles is available.

For planning your own personalised holiday, the central location in the Black Forest is the perfect starting point for Feldberg, Titisee, the source of the Danube, the Wutach Gorge, the Sauschwänzle Cable Car, and more, as well as a wide range of excursion options (e.g., northern Switzerland, Lake Constance, or Freiburg).
Active holidaymakers—such as hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, horseback riders, and skiers (including cross-country skiers)—will find an extensive network of trails set amid beautiful natural scenery right nearby. About 300 metres away is a playground with a ping-pong table, swings, and a small climbing wall, as well as a bike park for mountain bikers. Due to the low allergen levels, the surrounding area is particularly suitable for people with allergies.
Since 2023, we’ve also been offering “Holidays with Horses.” Simply bring your beloved four-legged friends along on your dream holiday and enjoy wonderful, extended horseback rides in our beautiful Southern Black Forest. We offer an open stable for up to two horses, a spacious paddock, a private pasture, a tack room, a small riding/lunging arena, and more. Hay and bedding are provided; guests are responsible for mucking out the stalls.

If you just want to relax, you can do so on the balcony or in the large garden area, which features a sunbathing area, seating, a grill, and space to play badminton, etc. Two lounge chairs are available.

If the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s a year-round water park with a wellness oasis about 15 km away.
You’ll find shopping options at “s’Lädle” (about 1,400 m from the lake—fresh baked goods, basic necessities, SMS/WhatsApp ordering service) or, for example, in nearby Bräunlingen or Löffingen.
