Eifel Mathilde 2 Vacation Apartment, a family-friendly and child-friendly apartment

Vacation Rental 2 is located on the first floor of a former farmhouse and is well-suited for families with children.
With its 95 square meters, the apartment offers plenty of space for 5 people. We lovingly renovated and refurbished this apartment in 2021.

In total, this apartment has 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and Children’s Room 1 has 2 single beds. In Children’s Room 2, you’ll find a standard bed, a crib, and a changing table. Upon your arrival, the beds will, of course, already be made.

The kitchen features a cozy dining area and a well-equipped kitchenette. You’ll find everything you need for cooking here, including a dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, and much more. We’re happy to provide high chairs, appropriate for the children’s ages, if needed.
If you need any other baby items, such as a play mat, travel crib, baby bouncer, or baby monitor, just let us know.

The living room offers plenty of seating for a cozy family evening and a small reading nook with an armchair.

In the bathroom, which includes a toilet and shower, you’ll find plenty of towels ready for you upon arrival.

We’ve converted the old barn into a common room.
Here you’ll find a washing machine and dryer, as well as a beverage fridge that you’re welcome to help yourself to.
In the game cabinet, you’ll find numerous board games for all ages.
If the weather happens to be bad, your little ones are welcome to play shop here or help themselves to the toys in the toy boxes.

When the weather is nice, you can sit out on our terrace in the morning sun while the children explore the large garden.
A climbing frame with a slide and swings, a sandbox, and a trampoline are just waiting to be discovered. Or the kids can set sail on our playboat, the “Blaues Wunder.”
In the garden shed, you’ll find not only numerous outdoor toys—such as soccer balls, tennis balls, a Bobby Car, and a pedal tractor—but also a grill and lounge chairs.

From the stairwell, you can access the courtyard and from there go directly into the large garden, which is shared with neighbors. The garden faces south, so you can enjoy breakfast in the sunshine.

At the back of the garden, our chickens have their coop and are always happy when someone stops by with feed. If the chickens are productive enough, you’re welcome to take some fresh eggs from us.

In just a few minutes’ walk, you’ll reach the “Schöne Aussicht” lookout point. Here, you’ll have a magnificent view of the entire Rursee, and it serves as the starting point for numerous hikes and excursions. It’s also a special place at night, as it’s designated as a stargazing spot in the Eifel Star Park.

You can also walk to Schmidt Wildlife Park, a destination for young and old alike. Here, children can meet, feed, and pet numerous native animals.
