**House Rules & Behavior Policies – North Myrtle Beach, SC**
**Age Requirement**
The primary renter must be at least **25 years old** and must remain in the unit for the duration of the stay.
**Pets**
No pets are allowed. **Service animals are permitted as required by law.**
**Smoking**
Smoking or vaping is **not permitted anywhere inside the unit, on the balcony, or in interior common areas**. Violation of this rule may result in cleaning or damage fees.
**Parties & Occupancy**
Parties, events, or gatherings beyond the **maximum occupancy of the unit** are not permitted. Only registered guests may stay in the property.
**Parking**
Parking is limited and subject to resort rules. **RVs, motorcycles, trailers, golf carts, and oversized vehicles are not permitted in the parking garage.** Guests must follow all posted parking restrictions.
**Noise & Resort Conduct**
Guests must respect other occupants of the building. **Excessive noise, loud music, or disruptive behavior is not permitted.** Sound audible outside the unit or balcony may violate local **North Myrtle Beach noise ordinances** and may be subject to enforcement.
**Cleaning & Linens**
Professional cleaning and linen service are included with your stay. Linens, towels, and a starter supply of paper products are provided. Guests are responsible for **washing dishes and bagging trash before departure**. Excessive mess or additional cleaning required after check-out may result in additional charges.
**Property Condition & Coastal Environment**
The unit is professionally cleaned prior to arrival. Appliances and systems should be in working order. **Temporary interruptions to Wi-Fi, cable, TV service, building elevators, or resort amenities are not grounds for refunds.**
Due to the coastal environment, guests may occasionally encounter **local insects such as palmetto bugs, ants, or other seasonal pests** despite routine pest control. This is common in beach areas and does not indicate a cleanliness issue.
Sand, balconies, stairs, decks, and concrete surfaces may be **wet, slippery, or uneven**. Guests assume all related risks.
**Care of Property**
Guests agree to keep the unit and furnishings in good condition. Furniture may not be moved or rearranged. Linens, towels, and furnishings may not be taken outside or onto the beach. Guests are responsible for **damage, loss, or missing items** during their stay.
**Security Cameras**
Security cameras may be present in **public areas of the resort** such as entrances, hallways, elevators, and parking areas for safety and security. **There are no cameras inside the condo or on the private balcony.**
**Manager Entry**
Management or authorized personnel may enter the unit for **maintenance, inspections, or emergencies**. Notice will be provided when possible.
**Safety & Assumption of Risk**
Pools, beach areas, and resort amenities may not have lifeguards on duty. Guests use all amenities **at their own risk** and agree to hold management harmless from injury or loss.
**Children**
The unit is **not child-proofed**. Guests assume responsibility for supervising children at all times, including risks related to balconies, pools, beach access, and nearby streets.
**Personal Property**
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Management is **not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.**
**Check-In / Check-Out**
Check-in begins at **4:00 PM**.
Check-out is **10:00 AM**.
Guests must remove trash, wash dishes, and secure the unit upon departure. Late check-out without approval may result in additional fees.
**Holding Over**
Unauthorized late departure may result in hourly charges and other remedies permitted under **South Carolina law**.
**Legal Relationship**
This stay is a **short-term lodging accommodation**. The relationship between the property owner/manager and the guest is that of **innkeeper (or proprietor) and guest**, not landlord and tenant. South Carolina residential landlord-tenant laws do not apply to this temporary lodging arrangement.

Tampering with fire protection equipment may violate **local fire codes** and guests may be **held financially responsible for damages** caused by interference with the fire suppression system.
