More information by the provider: The very bright 4-room attic apartment (135 m2) was redesigned in a timeless, luxurious and elegant manner by the award-winning architect Özgür Keles (Biuld Inc.). The apartment is located on the 4th floor of house number 2 in the village settlement "Am Dürrbach", which is one of Engelberg's architectural and artistic attractions. The internationally known Sgrafittos of the Bündner artist Staivan Könz (who as a child was the model of the famous Schellenursli) and the very individual architecture of Albertus Magnus Caviezel make the settlement a very special place. Handcrafted fixtures, high-quality furniture and personal details create a cozy and at the same time light atmosphere in the flat. The large window front offers a spectacular view of the Engelberg Alps. The facility is located directly at the valley station of the Brunni Bahnen and about 10 minutes walk from the village center. The village settlement has an indoor swimming pool, fitness area, sauna and solarium. On two floors the apartment has, an entrance hall with cloakroom, a large living room with sofa, TV, Internet, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and kettle. In addition, 2 bathrooms with shower / WC and bathtub. fireplace, 6 beds in 3 bedrooms, south-east-facing balcony (17 m2). 1 parking place is in the underground car park + parking spaces in front of the house. comfortable and great location
This is a spacious and very comfortable apartment with lovely views up into the valley. There are 4 apartment buildings in the complex and this apartment is in the back building so away from road noise. We didn't hear noise from other residents/while we were there either. Kitchen was great
Underground parking was a bonus when the weather turned nasty. As was the level of heating in the apartment.
There is a head height challenge in a couple of the bedrooms with sloping ceilings.
The only downside was the less than friendly 'house rules' which had to be signed before keys were handed over at the tourist office. I suspect they are the result of people doing the wrong thing, but they set a less than welcoming tone. And, given that the town requires special rubbish bags to be used, it seems petty to provide only one of those bags with advice on where to buy more. I've never stayed anywhere where no replacement rubbish bags were provided.
Also important to note - despite the fact that the property is advertised as having a washing machine for clothes, there is not actually one inside the apartment. There are shared laundry facilities with a (small) fee in the basement.
Overall, enjoyed our stay, with only a couple of downsides, and would recommend
