About this property

New! Pet Friendly Lake Nockamixon Cottage Hideaway

Newly renovated, pet friendly 3-level cottage on Old Bethlehem Rd in Quakertown—just a short walk to Lake Nockamixon access and along the horse trail (you may see riders go by!) Enjoy an enclosed back patio, hot tub, a firepit under the trees, and easy access to paddling, fishing, hiking, the community pool, and The Lake House Inn wedding venue. Modern kitchen, comfy living spaces, and Bucks County charm throughout.

The space
Tucked away on a private road on the banks of Lake Nockamixon, the Cottage Hideaway immerses you in the countryside while providing modern amenities and being close to towns, shopping, breweries, wineries, and all that Bucks County is known for.

The covered front porch is perfect for listening to the birds sing with a coffee as the sun rises (perhaps you’ll catch a passing horseback rider, as the trailhead is just down the road). The open concept first floor has a full kitchen with quartz countertops, induction stovetop, refrigerator and breakfast bar seating. Just off the kitchen is a half bathroom as well as the living room with a smart TV. Head out the sliding doors to the sun-drenched dining area with access to the hot tub and private backyard perfect for your bonfire or playing ball with your four-legged friends!

When it's time to call it a night, head upstairs to the private queen bed suite with dramatic vaulted ceilings and mini-split for a comfortable night's sleep. Outside the main bedroom is a pull-out couch for additional guests and TV sitting area. The roomy and newly renovated full bathroom with a shower is located on this level as well.

Up on the third floor loft area, is a space perfect for the kiddos or additional guests with a full size bed and unique layout.

Location: the home is one mile up the road from the Quarry Trail trailhead on Lake Nockamixon and this is easily accessible by walking from the house. Less than 5 minutes away (by car) is the park's fishing pier, marina, boat rental, swimming pool, and additional hiking trails. We are across the lake from the Lake House Inn wedding venue (an 8 minute drive) and mountain bike trails.

Local towns with grocery, gas, dining, breweries & wineries, farmers markets and more are less than 15 minutes away (Perkasie, Quakertown, Ottsville and Dublin). Just a bit further and offering additional culture, museums, dining and shopping are both Doylestown (30 minutes) and New Hope/Lambertville (45 minutes).

Guest access
The entire property is available for the guests to use.

Other things to note
Please note: This is an original older farmhouse and while it has been updated to reflect modern living, the steps to access the bedrooms and full bathroom are pie stairs and need to be navigated safely and so they might not be ideal to groups with mobility issues or young children.

Nockamixon State Park allows hunting in designated areas so you may hear distant gunshots during hunting season (the home itself is located in a no hunting area). We are in a rural area so you will encounter deer, groundhogs, the occasional fox, and other critters – please keep pets under control at all times.
