We had such a nice time this weekend at John’s place. He was super helpful with check in, has accurate photos of the listing, and the area is serene and peaceful. The sauna was the best! We picked this place because it was central to many outdoor recreational areas and far away from the hustle and bustle of city horns and highway rush hour traffic. Ontonagon is about 12 minutes up the road so we were able to pick up any last minute items as well as check out some of the local eateries. Perfect for a couples retreat or small family gathering, would recommend !!

Trail riding and snowmobiling - why did it take me so long to discover you? Got hooked in my 50's so I wanted to find a location to launch from with nature all around and this is it. Hosting allows me to share these passions from places I setup for myself. Modest enough to be affordable with some of the features I wanted to use.

Why they chose this property

Snowfall, trail crossings, close to nature's beauty with services close by. How can you not enjoy a quiet neighborhood that you can ride right from the driveway? I can get gas, parts and gear across the road at Pat's Motorsports. A bar & grill close enough to walk to end the day at the Pit Stop. Couple that will short drives - less than an hour to all of the key sites in the UP. This includes the Porcupine Mountains, Lake Superior, Lake Gogebic and the Keweenaw Peninsula. Lots of Mine tours and restaurants also within 30 minutes closed the deal for me.

What makes this property unique

I wanted to create a comfortable spot that other couples could come and enjoy the outdoors together. Nothing over the top - cost or feature wise. But I wanted to create something more than just a place for a bunch of guys to crash. Adding in a few touches like a fireplace, barrel sauna, fire pit, surround sound and equipment dryer help to set us apart for couples, families and small groups looking to explore the wonders of the UP. These are matched with an Northwoods theme topped by personal photos and artwork of the area I wanted to share to create that warm relaxed setting. .
