About this property

Running Bear Lodge at Eagles Nest - community amenities

Welcome to Running Bear Lodge at Eagles Nest, a beautiful mountain retreat nestled in The Village—one of the most convenient sections of the community, just minutes from the front gate for easy access to downtown Banner Elk and local attractions. Guests will also love being only five minutes from Epic Chophouse, a new restaurant where you can enjoy fine dining without a membership.

Step inside to find a warm and inviting living room with a wall of windows framing mountain views, tongue-and-groove ceilings, and a gas fireplace surrounded by rich wood accents and leather seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay, featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large island with seating for three, while the adjacent dining area comfortably seats five to six guests. A half bath and laundry center are conveniently located on the main level.

The primary king suite on the main floor offers a private retreat with a lavish ensuite bathroom complete with a soaking tub, custom-tiled shower, double granite vanities, and a water closet.
Upstairs, the loft serves as a second gathering area, enclosed by barn doors for privacy and sound control. Enjoy a movie night or friendly competition with the shuffleboard table, large flat-screen TV, and comfortable leather sofa. The upper level includes two well-appointed bedrooms—one with a queen bed, TV, and scenic views, and the other with a custom twin lofted over a queen bed, TV, and dresser. These rooms share a full bath with a tiled tub/shower combination and granite counters.

Outdoor living shines at Running Bear Lodge. The main-level deck offers both covered and open areas: a gas log fireplace with TV and cozy seating, a high-top dining table for four, and a gas grill—perfect for entertaining. On the open side, relax in the hot tub while taking in the mountain scenery. Down below, gather around the beautiful stone firepit under the stars.

Located on a peaceful lane with no through traffic and featuring a nearly flat parking area, Running Bear Lodge combines easy access, comfort, and mountain charm—making it the perfect home base for your Eagles Nest getaway.
