Beautiful lake front home in historic DeFuniak Springs!

Hi!
I'm Joe and I welcome you to DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
A little about me....
My father was a minister and much like a military family, we moved often to other communities. I've lived in five states and thus, have friends and great memories of all those eras!
One of those places was Tampa, Florida where I sang at Busch Gardens as lead singer in the Busch Gardens Friends and performed bird shows with those incredibly beautiful Macaw parrots.
I'm also armed with some culinary experience that has enabled me to cater many events here in DeFuniak Springs.

What's so appealing about DeFuniak is, believe it or not, the distance from the beach which is just 30 miles south.
It is the Goldilocks distance from the traffic gridlock of Hwy 98, Destin and the infamous CR 30A.
Great to run down and experience the panhandle of Florida's Gulf Coast's most spectacular, sugar white beaches and some of the best shopping, fishing and top rated restaurants in the country!
But after all of that, the BEST part of the day is coming back to a stress free, calm and totally relaxing evening on the back porch after dinner at equally wonderful restaurants here in DeFuniak.
The best of both worlds!

One of the most captivating aspects about DeFuniak Springs is it's home to the second most perfectly round natural lakes in the world, Lake DeFuniak. The lake is lined with Victorian styled houses from the 1800s. It's also where the Walton-DeFuniak Library is located. The historic library, at 3 Circle Drive, opened in 1887. It is the oldest continuously run library in the state. It is a contributing property in the DeFuniak Springs Historic District and available to tour.
Lake DeFuniak is well worth a drive or walk around the two mile outside perimeter of the lake or get closer to the water and enjoy a mile walk or jog around the inner circle.
The lakeyard is adjacent to downtown DeFuniak. A quaint downtown area filled with restaurants offering a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great restaurants! Also antique stores, businesses and many street festivals held on the weekends. All of this is just three miles from your destination here in DeFuniak.
