About the host

Host profile image

I am a McKinney local who loves welcoming guests and helping them enjoy the best of downtown, local dining and the neighborhood charm that makes this area special! My faith and family are most important to me, so of course, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three grown children and our spoiled mini goldendoodle. Reading, shopping, baking and playing mahjong are some of my current obsessions.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the vibrant downtown McKinney area and all of the charming historic homes here. Our home is near enough to the town square to be able to walk or take a quick drive to the many boutiques, restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops and events. Church Street cottage is close to all of the action but on a quiet street when you want to come back for some relaxation at your home base.

What makes this property unique

Our home is a thoughtfully renovated 1960 craftsman 2 bedroom/1 bath home. We have a spacious and inviting backyard area with outdoor dining, grill, fire pit, cornhole, landscape and ambient lighting. The cottage is just steps away from the famous Hutchins BBQ, so after a day of shopping you can just pop over for a great meal and then back home to sit by the fire under the lights and enjoy the evening, or just lounge inside the home and enjoy the vintage character with modern comfort to watch a movie or play a board game. This home and neighborhood is filled with character and charm!
