About this property

A peaceful, dream vacation home in the Schlierach Valley

The former railway signalman’s house in the quiet Schlierach Valley was converted into a low-energy home in 2014. The decor ranges from modern to traditional; I restored the custom-built furniture myself, and it adds to the cosy atmosphere. Pure nature.
The house is 130 years old and has been in the family for 80 years. I converted it into a low-energy home in 2014, installing a pellet heating system and a solar panel system, and completely renovating it to a high standard. I restored the custom-made furniture myself, and it adds to the cosy atmosphere. The house features a dining room with an adjoining, well-equipped kitchen, a very large living room, one bedroom with a toilet, and one bedroom with a bathroom. There is also a bathroom with a toilet and shower, an utility room, a basement, and a garage. In addition to the beds in the bedrooms, the following options are available: a large sleeper sofa, a large inflatable air mattress, and a cot. The living area is 131 m².
The former railway signalman’s house is located in a water protection area in the Schlierach Valley and is surrounded by nature. You’ll be in a very quiet spot; only the occasional railcar whizzing by on the Holzkirchen–Bayrischzell line will remind you now and then that civilisation isn’t far away. It’s an excellent starting point for excursions, whether you’re looking for long walks or bike rides nearby, or hiking and skiing trips at the nearby Schliersee or Tegernsee. If you’re in the mood for a city visit, Munich, Salzburg, or Innsbruck are all within an hour’s drive.
