About this property

Hike-In Stargazer Tent in Secluded "Hollar"

Do you want to camp deep in the Nat'l Forest, but maybe have a few reservations? This hike-in tent gives you the feel of being by yourself in the forest w/o the worries.

Secluded 16' Bell Stargazer Tent located in a "hollar" on a platform and features a thick queen bed, comfy sofa, solar generator, Adirondack and gravity lounge chairs plus a private outhouse. So you don't have to be afraid of things that go bump or roar in the night, the property is surrounded by bear resistance fencing.

BLK147 is a quiet, off-grid glamping retreat set on a mountainside in Turtletown, Tennessee, deep in the Copper Basin. Designed for guests seeking privacy, stillness, and a deeper connection to nature, the property features thoughtfully placed Stargazer tents—each one set on a raised platform and intentionally spaced for seclusion.

Set into a fold on the mountain, you will experience an almost solar eclipse feeling the 360 sunrises and sunsets. The light just appears and disappears at the mountain tops surrounding you.

Some tents sit along scenic ridgelines, while others are tucked into peaceful hollers, offering a range of forest and mountain views. Each tent is fully private and includes a small solar generator for charging personal devices. A private pit latrine is located near each tent, allowing guests to remain close to nature without sacrificing comfort.

The property is enclosed with a discreet bear-safe perimeter for guest safety.

Days at BLK147 are unhurried—morning fog drifts through the trees, evenings glow with firelight, and nights reveal dark skies ideal for stargazing. This is a place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy simple, intentional luxury in a truly rural setting.

Luxury, unplugged.

There is a shared firepit and field (outdoor) kitchen area. Equipped with a 3 burner propane camp stove; pans; cooking basics including spices and oils; a stove top percolator and toaster; fresh mountain water; coffee and tea; utensils and dishes plus more.
Guests may wander the property. We ask that you only enter the pasture area with us.
For longer stays, we can arrange access to the shower and bathroom in the lower level of the cabin.

We live on site in the cabin. You can message us or just stop by.

Let me know if you'd like private exercise classes or personal training sessions.

This is a HIKE-IN Secluded Stargazer Tent located in a Hollar in the fold of a mountain on the edge of the Cherokee Nat'l Forest in SE TN.

HIKE-IN - this is the side of a mountain. Paths are steep. Walking poles and hiking shoes are necessary.

This is a great spot for a digital detox. Cell service is spotty though texts usually get out.

Fresh mountain water is available in the field (outdoor) kitchen. If you're staying for a few days we can arrange a time to use the very nice bathroom in the lower level of the cabin.

Please note this is a new property. The dirt is raw. We have seeded. It is dusty and can be muddy.

We live on site and are available if you have any questions or need anything.
