Trip to the Algarve

The property is comfortable, nicely furnished, tastefully decorated and well maintained. It is an easy walk from the property to the beach and restaurants. The host was well informed and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Casa Papaya was perfect for our family gathering.The view of the ocean while having breakfast on the deck was a delight.We could walk into town and enjoy the beach, bakeries or grab a drink very easily down a flight of stairs.We did not use the pool but it looked nice.Really enjoyed that it felt like a home and not just another IKEA prefab rental. Original Art and eclectic decor.

Enjoyed our stay

We had a great stay in Carvoiero. The location is amazing and the suite itself was clean, spacious and had beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy. While the suite did boast a full and well-equipped kitchen there weren’t many consumables (hand soap, salt, pepper, oil, washing detergent etc). Additionally, despite air conditioning being listed as an essential amenity on the ad, the property manager hid the remote controls and tried to charge us extra money in cash to use the air conditioning. Thankfully VRBO remedied this situation for us. Overall though, we would definitely recommend this property.

Hi Joanne, thank you for your review. I put all my listings on VRBO's German site, it says. "As many of our customers do not want to use the air conditioning, it would be unfair to include it in the rental price. Cost air conditioning 60,- €/ week" This sentence was not translated by VRBO. When VRBO America contacted me and we noticed that the translation was missing on the English page, I said that I could not charge this fee to this guest.
