We enjoyed our stay here as a family (2 adults, kids- 15 & 11). It was our first time to the resort and the Crystal Coast. The immediate area was quiet and lowkey/less commercial which we wanted; it felt safe and everyone we met was friendly. The easy walk to both beach and pool is convenient - perfect for when someone wanted to be at the beach and others at the pool, made it easy to go back and forth. The beach was wide and uncrowded during our time; the clear water was amazing! We loved that the pools and hot tub were open late(til 11pm). Especially nice for after dark when parents may want to wind down & kids still want something to do. The condo was clean, neat, comfortable; had everything we needed especially as we cook many of our meals there. Beds were comfortable and it was great to have linens/towels included in the stay (we are used to having to bring those items to beach stays). It's an older resort which shows more in some spaces and while the condo may not be newly updated as far as decor or style, I personally found that nostalgic and comforting; enjoyed little details that reminded me of a beach stay in my own childhood. During our stay we visited the NC Aquarium, Town Park (playground, mini golf), many shops, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream - all were available within reasonable drive, some only minutes. We were close enough to explore other beach areas on the Crystal Coast too and there was much to check out all within a 20min drive (or less).
