Hi, I’m Kay. I’m originally from Japan, and my husband Poul is from Denmark. We’ve lived in New York and Los Angeles, and now split our time between LA and Puerto Vallarta.

We’re both graphic designers, so collecting art has always been part of how we live—whether it’s pieces from friends, artists we love, or Poul’s own work.

That naturally carries into our homes, which are all thoughtfully curated and personal.

The Romantic Zone is one of the most vibrant and walkable areas in Puerto Vallarta. You’re just a short walk to Los Muertos Beach, surrounded by great restaurants, cafés, and local favorites, yet still able to find quiet pockets that feel relaxed and residential.

What we love most is the balance—you can enjoy a more elevated dining experience one night, then find yourself at a simple, local spot the next, sitting alongside neighbors and soaking in the everyday rhythm of the area. It’s the kind of place where you naturally pick up a bit of Spanish and feel part of the neighborhood.

Our unit faces the mountain, away from the bar noise, offering a quieter, more restful atmosphere. In the mornings, you can open the doors and take in the fresh, green air drifting down from the Sierra Madre—an unexpected sense of calm in the heart of the neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

Casa Lumine at D’Vine Residences is designed to feel more like a private home than a typical rental. The space is filled with curated art, warm natural light, and thoughtful details that make it feel calm and lived-in rather than staged. Many of the artworks are Poul’s original pieces or part of our personal collection, giving the space a more intimate and authentic character.

We’ve paid special attention to comfort and functionality—from a well-equipped kitchen and coffee bar to spa-style bathrooms and a private terrace to unwind. For longer stays or remote work, the space also includes a height-adjustable desk setup, and yoga mats for a more relaxed, at-home routine.

Guests also have access to the rooftop infinity pool and shared spaces, offering beautiful views and a relaxed setting.
