Gjerrild is located at the tip of the nose of Djursland, which means with coast on several sides. Look forward to wonderful bathing days and fishing trips.



Further inland on the peninsula you will encounter hilly beech forests and the disused monastery Sostrup Castle, quiet lakes and abundant wildlife. The area around Gjerrild is not overcrowded and is easily accessible via disused railroad tracks and small roads.



At the end of June, one of the country's largest flea markets is held with well-known music groups.



Also visit the Mols Mountains nature area in the southern part of the peninsula. Take a day trip to Aarhus, where you can look at art and go to a restaurant and café.



Or go to Grenaa and visit the Kattegat Center, where you can eat a stingray or look into the gap of a live shark if you are lucky.
