The Space:

Lake life is yours at this airy waterfront condo, just five miles up the coast from gorgeous Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, with its many trails, scenic overlooks onto Lake Michigan, and Dune Climb. Spend summer days paddling on the Crystal River, boating on Glen Lake, or exploring the darling downtown in tiny Glen Arbor, with lots of local boutiques, restaurants, and taverns. Autumn is ideal for touring the many wineries of the lovely Leelanau Peninsula, around 15 miles away. Wintertime visitors will love the easy access to Crystal Mountain, 32 miles south. At the condo itself, a private waterfront deck is the perfect perch for morning coffee or evening cocktails, and the wall of picture windows onto the living space brings the view inside. Hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and an open layout create a cozy, convivial vacation vibe. The kitchen’s full suite of appliances and plentiful counter space make it a pleasure to prepare meals, and there’s room for everyone around the window-front table. End the night playing a board game together, watching a little TV, or scrolling social media with the free WiFi before drifting off to one of four serene bedrooms to dream of the perfect lake day you just had – and the one to come tomorrow. 4 Adults stayed for 3 nights. The unit was clean. It was nice to have an entire bedroom for each person. We were able to manage the TV. The kitchen had every utensil, etc. that you would need to cook. The plates, cups, glasses, cutting boards, spices, utensils, etc. were PLENTIFUL. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Great family vacation

Wonderful location for all ages. Enjoyed Glen Arbor and it was easy to get to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. We liked the condo accessibility to the beach and that it was two floors.

Having stayed I’m many Southbeach units for years …. This is the best … owners nicely remodeled kitchen into a marvelous open environment and king beds were super comfy!

Very disappointing

This review is based on having a poor experience and we would not recommend renting this unit based on the events described that follow: We have stayed in the Homestead and rented places annually for over 10 years...and this was the first time we had such a disappointing experience. When we arrived there were no window coverings on the master suite windows—the 1st floor windows facing the parking lot and walkways. This was supposed to be a retreat room for our friends who came up with us...and they had no privacy! We immediately contacted everyone we could. Finally, the second day, after continued calls, it was resolved. We also tried to get the small and only TV to work for almost 24 hours but we couldn't because the cable wasn't working! No one we called, over and over, (owner, owner's sister, Vacasa 1 800--, Vacasa "local" mngt., local tech person, local cleaner) was able to solve the problem for the first evening and next day. A "technical" person showed up the second afternoon and told us the cable box was obsolete or discontinued and he couldn't fix it either. Finally, by the end of the second afternoon, our guest got the TV working by finding a ROKU box buried under items behind the TV and used OUR personal HULU Premium account to make it all work. Without that account, we would not have had a working TV the entire stay. Vacasa management reimbursed us $100 which is an unacceptable amount based on the price of renting this unit and they are not responding to our requests for greater reimbursement. These events ruined our whole experience and cost us a lot of time trying to fix the issues instead of vacationing. We, like any renters, would expect at the least a working TV and window coverings on a main bedroom. This unit was not adequately prepared to an acceptable standard. Whether you call it negligence or mismanagement it ruined it for us.
