We enjoyed our little getaway before school starts. The cabin and grounds provided a little something for everyone. My daughters loved the beach, my husband loved fishing and I enjoyed my coffee on the deck. The included pier/boat slip was a bonus. The cabin had all that we needed for our stay.

Loon Loft Cottage felt like home
Property is well maintained with what looks like new windows and most of the furniture. Always a plus to have comfortable beds. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the beautiful views. We will return again.
It was a great stay overall. We were disappointed that there was not a fire pit. The kids really wanted a fire and they are shared pits a little hike from our cabin. We ended up buying our own pit to use while there. The cabin was clean enough but there are a lot of cobwebs debris on the exterior/ deck. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful resort and served the purpose for what we needed. Would stay again.
Wonderdul location, plenty of parking for vehicles and trailer, incredible view, calm bay, beach, very nice docks and boat ramps; cabin is well appointed with awesome views! There is no grill, firepits are within walking distance. Close to many attractions: go carts, mini golf, horseback riding, bars, restaurants, gas, grocery store, ice cream shop, coffee shop Could use some games for rainy days and better signage.

Very beautiful view of the lake. Nice place to relax and enjoy nature. The beds were comfortable too! Great communication back and forth whenever we had a question! We even got to check in early which we greatly appreciated! Very nice breeze coming through the cabin.
Tight squeeze entering the bathroom. Small thing to fix would be the outlets as some of them either didn’t work or couldn’t keep our items plugged in as the cord would fall out of the outlet.
Overall very nice place to stay!

A nice spot to get away.
Overall super charming, and had most of what we needed for a long weekend. It could use a larger couch or even just an additional chair. Wish we'd had access to a firepit, but we didn't see one anywhere near our cabin.

Hello Vanessa, thank you for your valuable feedback during your stay. We are happy to know that our home is super charming. We take guest feedback seriously about having a larger couch and an additional chair. We apologize as well that you haven't located the firepit in the cabin. Rest assured that all your concerns will be forwarded to our local manager so we can update and address the home. Thank you for your stay, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future.
The overall experience was good. The view from the deck is outstanding. The only issue we had was when using the oven it smoked up the cottage. The amenities were great. On our first night it was cold and the furnace warmed it right up. We would return to the Loon Lodge.

Massive hole
House was clean bathroom very small. Would have appreciated knowing there was a massive hole from foundation of old lodge torn down directly adjacent. Recommend an outdoor broom for deck or at least have crew touch it up before arrival.

The construction was horrible next to cabin.
We thought it was on lake , it was 6 floors below, not great for older people.
Would not return.
Construction on side was awful. Our dog fell down in the hole.

Great cabin on a hill.
Loon loft is a great cabin! Love seat and couch, deck has a beautiful view.. there are a lot of stairs to the lake! There is alternate way through parking lots to get to the lake. Bathroom is a very small. Friendly vacationers, A condo owner let me use her kayak. We stayed in early May. The lake is wonderful. Nice sandy beach, saw loons eagle ducks and geese. We saw 8 deer during early evening walks near roads. There is a beautiful point for relaxing, chairs, fire pit and wood! Awesome place!
WiFi is very good and TV has a Roku stick.

Just OK
This property is tricky to find if you are coming in after dark like we did. It would have been a nice little cabin with a great view and access to the lake if it had been clean. Moldy shower curtain, tub that didn’t drain that my husband had to plunge, dog hair all over the couch and the floors were gross. Found a huge wad of dog hair/dust under the kitchen table. I know this is a dog friendly cabin. We didn’t bring ours, but with the fees we paid, I expected it to be clean. We would not stay here again.

We're truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We apologize for the cleanliness details that were missed and any areas you felt needed attention. Our local manager assured us that they inspected the drain and it is working properly and the shower liner was replaced. Your feedback was shared with the housekeeping team and we appreciate your insights. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.
This is a cozy little cabin in the woods with a beautiful view of little st. Germain lake. It was lovely to sit on the deck and watch all the boaters, jet skis and swimmers. The pictures only show a love seat, but there is actually a couch and love seat and plush carpet which is really nice. The table is also a bit bigger - can sit 6 people. The deck is big enough to hang out and have a meal at the table. The bathroom is small (especially if you're a curvy person). Definitely a great cabin for a couple and a pet, or a couple with two kids, or four adults. It was clean and has just about everything you need for cooking meals. The boat launch is also nearby and there are ample number of docks down below.

Second Visit
We really enjoy staying at the Loon Loft. This was our second stay here because they allow for less than a full week-summer booking and we are able to bring our small dog. We love the addition of the full size couch this year as well as a new kitchen table. We were disappointed to still see major construction that doesn't seem to be moving quickly) going on next door to the unit (which the walkway to the property is very narrow from). The new docks were great and the sand area was more cleaned up than last year - although still weedy.
We wish that a bit more care was taken to clean off the property deck, table and chairs as they were full of cobwebs and pine needles. We didn't have the proper items to be able to fully clean and use the table. We used the chairs around our own gas firepit we bring.
We also experienced dust bunnies all over the floors and dog hair in the primary bedroom sheets. The new bath towels are great but they need to be washed a few times as when we toweled off we were covered in white cotton!

Hi, Rachel, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and for choosing to stay at the Loon Loft again! We regret the issues you encountered with the deck, table, chairs, and cleanliness. We'll ensure our team addresses these concerns promptly. Thank you for highlighting the need to wash the new bath towels more thoroughly. We value your input and will work to improve for your next visit.
